I'm looking to upgrade the pickups in my Tokai PRS copy. It currently has the stock, decent sounding PAF style humbuckers. I am looking to stay with a PAF flavor, but would like it clearer and smoother. Currently my LP is my high gain monster and I would like this guitar to do the overdriven or classic rock sound. I was thinking of getting a set of 59's, but I can find them bassy in the neck. What other models should I consider for this style guitar?

As some of you already know, I am looking to put of Texas Hot Custom Bridge in my JV strat. But, in some past reviews the THCB has been forsaken for the Twang Banger and real Tele bridge pickups with modifications. (Perhaps I am suffering from more information than I really need at this point.)

I am installing a jb humbucker to one volume knob. I keep getting alot of extra noise which I assume is ground related. Since I am just using one volume pot and no tone pots how do I correctly do the ground? I was running the ground from the input jack to the back of the volume pot as well as a ground from the tremelo to the back of the pot. It obviously isn't working so does anyone have any advice or insight?

hey posted about week ago, but didnt get to many responses. Thought Id try again. need pickup suggestions for Jackon S/S/H configuration. Have Epi LP with 59n JBb and would like to my jackson to have the tones that the LP doesnt. Will be playing through TSL60 and play mainly Rock, very rarely metal. Hoping for pickups that could get Mcready, Satriani, Chilli peppers, greenday, metallica and maybe SRV tones. Though realise prob unlikely to have one guitar to do it all. SO eventually will get a strat. So till then... After nice cleans, and defined not muddy overdrive/distortion. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
