I saw this Fender set called 1090 Bajo sexto telecaster .016-.066 for A tuning, i have never heard of this tuning/strings before and i wonder what styles/persons uses this strings/tuning? Is it possible to tune these strings in regular E tuning?

I never had a chance to try some SD pickup, only DiMarzio and EMG and I am very sad because of that and then I must bother you and ask... I like to play some hard amp; heavy sound (think Maiden but with some palm mutes of for ex. Nightwish). Sound needs to be strong in PM and on the neck pickup to be smooth and sweet... I am thinking buying something like Jackson Dinky DK-2 (H-S-S) or strat with H-S-S configuration with floyd rose (in the neck it will be some stacked hum). So what should I put in the bridge and in the neck (i don't use middle pu)?

Any opinions? I'm thinking of throwing a cheap n cheerful chorus into the fx loop (parallel) of my TSL 601, and can get the Behringer UC100 ultra chorus for £15. False economy?

I am looking to add another dual EL-84 15-18 watt combo amp to my collection, and I think it's down to a choice between a used Marshall 1974X 18-watt handwired combo (excellent condition) or a new Bad Cat Cub II (nonreverb, custom ordered). The prices are in the same ballpark. I've played both, along with some others, and these two seem to ring my bell. What distinguishes these two amps is the strong low end and big sound that they deliver relative to my Orange AD15 and a couple of other 15-watters I've tried.

The back strap button on my new SZ is loose (stinking QC) I think I read in the past the best way to snug it up is to remove the screw and fill the hole with tooth picks and glue. Any other suggestions? Tanks in advance for your help.
