Line 76 Flextone III questions..
Hey guys, I think the Flextone III looks like the most reasonable amp for my situation. I'm going off to college and want an amp with channel switching, better tone and more versatility. Does the flextone have a USB output like the PODs do? Can I get a cable that would go into the direct out of the flextone to do this? One thing I am really looking into doing at college is recording my music. At the same time, I want an amp that I can better jam with. My Roland has decent tones but no patch saving. If I can't do direct recording the same way a POD can, what other methods are availible? Besides micing the amp?

Marshall JCM2000 Combos (especially the DSL 401)
As you may know I'm currently searching for an amp that'll go into my new flat but should also deliver some live gigging power...
So I saw that little DSL401 Combo... it's going for 888€ new which is a very nice price compared to the 50W DSL top for 1090€...

getting a 2nd amp head, which of these are more versatile?
I'm looking for a good versatile amp. One that can rock hard, crunch and do metal but clean up well also. I have a Carvin Legacy head and I'd like to get something to compliment/offset that. It's either going to be a Mesa F-50 or Peavey 5150 (6505). I know the clean on the 5150 isn't the greatest but it has monster crunch. And I know the F-50 has suberb clean but can it get real nasty high gain crunch too?

I am scared of single coil strats.....
I have always been a humbucker guy. Every guitar I own (6) has a humbucker in the bridge. All of the guitars I gave with single coils are stacked single coils. I don't own anything traditional.

crazy wah problems
I've got the cheap Dunlop GCB 95 wah. When I hook it up, it emits a high pitched shriek, as if it's plugged in backwards, but it isn't... it emits this shriek even if the wah is turned off. It will still quot;wahquot;, but there's always the shriek in the background.

WTT: My 59n for your APH1n
My pickup is black, logo-less. I have no real preferance for the color of the Alnico II Pro, so just tell me what you got if you're interested.

Just Built The quot;BSIAB 2quot; Marshall Like Pedal From JD Sleep's Site
I was about 95% thrilled with this pedal upon it's stock completion...I did some changes to it and man does this pedal rock! Has this great quot;Plexiquot; meets a JCM800 tone with the warmer low mids of a BF Fender...I added an extra quot;contour potquot; that really lets me dial in the mids and low mids together..I can roll the quot;contourquot; pot all the way CW and do a perfect quot;La Grangequot; tone with a little bit of lows and cutting mids, but then roll the pot fully CCW and get this ballsy quot;Dual Recquot; kind of tone that is strong in the lows and low mids but not boxey like a Dual Rec....This pedal came out wonderful and it looks like it might replace my Marshall Jackhammer that I've used since it came out,or I'll use em both? If you are into building your own pedals or are thinking of doing so,this is a great distortion pedal...One of the finest Marshall type sounding pedals I've played through...

Anyone here use Cakewalk?
Hey guys, does anyone use this program for recording to their PC? I just got a flyer in the mail, apparently the local music store is going out of business and is being replaced by a Guitar Center. As a grand opening special, they have Cakewalk on sale for $17 (normally $68.) Would this be a decent program for recording sound clips? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.

RW/RP Question
Ok, I have a Twangbanger and 2 APS-1's, middle one is supposed to be RW/RP. It repels the twangbanger when I move them close together, but not the neck pickup.

Georgia sung
There's no electric on this, but I figured you might like it anyway. I saved this from some screwing around in Adobe Audition today. Vocal and nylon played together into one mic; resonator overdubbed.

Greetings fellow earthlings :)
Been a while since I posted anything. Check this out, a sample clip of my new Dunlop Crybaby Classic wah pedal. It's been many years since I had a wah, so I still need to work on technique.
What do you think (besides the off-tune bending)?

Custom Custom / Phat Cat in my SG
Well I finally took the plunge...after weeks of debate I just placed an order with my buddy Kevin at Black Rose for a Custom Custom bridge and Phat Cat neck for my SG Standard. I'm hoping this takes care of the tinny bridge sound and creates a crunchy rock/blues machine. Details to follow and thanks to everyone for their input.

Volume and Pan pots for ASB-5 basslines
I have a bass with the ASB-5 basslines pickups in them. I want to replace the pre-amp, it's a MEC (warwick stock). What value pots should be used for the volume and pan? Do you know a source for a push/pull volume pot of this value? Thanks!
