Well, I've decided I really need to replace the 10W solid state with something bigger and with tubes in it. I'm really looking for the Marshall plexi overdrive a la Led Zeppelin, Hendrix, and Cream. I'm looking for an amp in the range of 15-30 watts. I'd prefer not to have to use pedals to get the overdrive sound I want, mainly just as a booster for solos if needed. I want to spend up to around 500-700 dollars on the amp. Thanks in advance!

Hello, I'm looking for a Green Duncan (Full Shred) SH10 (bridge pos) and a couple of White Duncan (Hot Rails) SHR1's (middle amp; neck pos).

Yeah, I'm surprised. I just installed the VR, and I like the tone, it's much clearer and dynamic than the original pup, but much lower in output. I know it isn't supposed to be hot, but less than a MIM stock? Is this normal?
I have turned it up much higher than the two stocks that are still in there, an d it's still less hot.

My little Silvertone has the original 6x4 rectifier tube in it, how often does a rectifier need to be replaced?

I bought a guitar. Then, i found out that the previous owner had the soldering ablility of a retarded goldfish. They have the wires all screwed up, and they trashed the resestor. I am planning two duncan 'buckers (jazz 'n' custom) on 500k pots for hard rock/metal. What kind of resistor do I need and where do I get it.

I need some recommendation guys. I have a Ibanez S540 cusomt S guitar. Its got a maple body it has I believe the wizard I neck and the Bridge is Fly Rose. Its all gold plated hardware and the frets are jumbo. the order of pickups are humbuck single humbuck. Trying to give you guys as much info as I can hehe.
I play mainly reggae and ska with a little punk and surf. I want pick ps that can give me pinch harmonics pretty easily because my stock pickups suck (although it would probably be easier if i set the intonation up and had the neck straightend and frets crowned and filed) but any who, I play reggae so need a lot of treble but i also what something that could give me that old sixties surf-drag sound if yo picture what im sayin. what kind of pots should i get for some EMGs? the tech hasnt done anything to it yet, so i can still tell him what id like, but id have to buy em... and do they really make a difference? ive only played my stock things so i have no idea, ive jsut seen you guys talk about em and was wanting to know what difference it would make

I have this 30-watt iron from Radio Shack, and it just sucks. It takes forever to heat things up and the way it heats is very inconsistant. The weird thing is, the iron itself gets really hot (I can feel the heat rising up to my hand when using it) but the tip itself works poorly. It's one of those screw-in tips. Is there a way to save this thing or should I just get a new one?

I think duncans have a very quot;naturalquot; tone wherein that the do not color the tone of the guitar as much
