I originally had a Jazz/JB installed, but the JB was a bit bright in my guitar. The Seths sound amazing! I also changed out the pots to CTS 500K's and installed some Hovland caps. What a difference!

I was checking out the Gibson Reissue 1958 Les Paul Standard with CTS pots, bumblebee caps, lightweight aluminum tail and BurstBucker 1 amp; 2 pickups and I was wondering which Duncans sound most like the Gibson BurstBuckers.

I was wondering is a flatter fretboard radius better for legato techniques.? If it is too flat would it affect your chording? I ordered a guitar with a 14quot; radius i think i can maybe get it with a 20quot; radius which i heard is flatter. How would that affect playability? Would it even matter? What is your experience with folks???

For years I've gassed after a Fender Clapton Strat after I played one of the early ones back in 1990, but have never been able to afford one. I love my Gamp;L Legacy to bits, but if a Clapton Strat became available at a cheap enough price, I would be sorely tempted. My question is, would the new Duncan Stack Pluses work with the Clapton mid-boost, and could I fit both to my Legacy? The body has a swimming pool rout so there should be enough room for the circuitry, and hopefully I could fit the battery in the spring cavity. What do you think?

i was wondering if i could use 500K pots with single coils? would that alter the sound much? and what tone pots should i use for them also?

Do I need a special cable, or will a guitar cable do? My Marshall is still in the shop, but I was thinking of running my blues Jr through the 4x12, just to see how it sounds.

Hey guys. My Hughes and Kettner Tubeman pedal just stopped working. I think the master volume pot is simply worn out and gone, because it was starting to make a really bad crackling noise before the pedal stopped producing sound altogether. Anyway, if somebody wants it, or wants to trade something for it, I'm game. I'll take the best offer. There's just nobody around here who I could take it to to get it repaired.

I just bought a complete set of Dimarzio YJMs/ HS3s to replace the SD APS-1s for noise purposes. According to Fender`s site, Yngwie wires his hot wires to his 5 way switch, but the way this strat is wired, the hots are soldered to the volume pot. Is that right? the hot leads soldered to the 5 way switch? When I had my YJM strats, I never had to look inside at the guts, so Im lost.

ok, i was down in this new lil music store and i walk in and see some off brands and a few fenders i thought ok, just a local lesson store... then i saw this jackson... it was 299, transparent red (more maroon), floyd rose, good shape, kelly style performer... i played it for about an hour and it plays pretty well, outta tune and the actions a little high... so.. how do you adjust the action on a FR guitar?.

I love my Squier. The neck feels very comfertable, the tuning stablility is great since I put locking tuners and a graphite nut on it, and the tone is amazing with SD pickups. It is probable the most verisital guitar I own.

Just thinking, with so many variations of the legendary PAF, which one actually IS the closest? I've played a '59, currently use a Seth, know the deal with Antiquities, know about the the PAF amp; PAF Classic from Dimarzio as well as Gibby's 57s - which one is actually the closest? I know everyone talks about that 'sound' from that era, but there can't be that many variations (I mean in terms of how they're built) on that sound, can there?
