A singer ( Arlys Alford) I used to work with a few years back suprised me with a visit Saturday. She is in town for a HS reunion. Anyway I asked her if she could lay a vocal on Day of the Eagle. She zoomed over and laid this one out. Very raw, no dubs nothing. It was her 2nd take and then like that she had to split... I love her take on this tune and wish she was local so we could perform it live. Fun way to kill an afternoon.

Man these things really do wonders. I just replaced all 5 12AX7 slots in my Legacy with GT12AX7Rs and it did wonders for the tone.

There's always talk on here about swapping out various magnets for different new sounds. Usually this involves humbuckers - I haven't heard about people doing it with P90s.

Anyone knows what gear he uses?

Fooling around today i plugged my old beat up Roland GP8 rack unit in front of my Peavey Classic 30 combo and it sounds amazing!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm surprised i had never hooked those things up before tonight! I had to lower the master volume on the patches but man that is very cool stuff thru the 30's Clean channel!!!!

ok, i like to jump ahead before i have any money for a new guitar , but im looking to seriously buy a new fender around christams. i ve narrowed it down to a few, either a new or vintage mustang, a jaguar,a used jag-stang, a cyclone, or a squier cyclone. which one would you all recomend i cant decided, im kind of a nirvana fan but i also love the mustang's shape.

would this sound good? A friend of mine is selling his marshall 4x12 and i'm thinking of reconing my other JBL and cutting a 2x15 baffle to put in the marshall 4x12 cabinet. I'm pretty sure it's big enough, and isn't that what marshall makes best?

A month ago, the action was twice lower than it is now, with the same strings, same brand, same amount of relief... GRRRRRRR... I just can't get it back there without a lot of buzz. I'm totally clueless. Does it ever happen to you? One day, she'll play amazing, then you restring her and with the same setup you usually do, it's totally different?
