Which guitar gem did you sell or trade (or whatever) that makes you sick now when you think about it? Even 16 years later.

The Man who Invented Fire (and I mean damn, that dude invented FIRE so I suspect he knows about the tube which will make my amp unleash the 7 layers of hell, fry any unsuspecting non-metal persons who would wander too close to my amp and at last bring armageddon to this decadent Earth to bring His night)
The amp is Laney (again!) AOR 30 pro tube combo. It uses 2 6V6s as power tubes, 3 ECC83 as preamp and another ECC83 as a phase inverter.

I'm going over to Sam Ash on saturday to buy a guitar for my 12 year old nephew who I'm going to teach, he needs to get a electric with a small neck with NO FLOYD(that would be the worst thing ever for a begginer) and a price range from $200-300. I was thinking ibanez because of there small necks, does anybody have any other ideas? Just nothing too radical.

Now I know there are so many passives compared to actives, and that the tonal range is really quite large to make a very specific decision.

My squier Strat, Neck Duckbucker into my Marshall avt150 on OD1 with some of the built in reverb.

I'm getting an RG 350 and I'm going to take the Ibanez pickups out and put s in. I'm looking for a very versatile setup. I play blues, rock, metal, and jazz. I really need something that can sound awesome clean yet sound awesome distorted. So what do you think would be best for the HSH setup? I have listened to most all of the pickup sound samples on the site, but I still want some suggestions.

i am trying to record an album but have found that i cannot mix more than one track at a time. which is most unfortunate!

I have a BBQ and think its a little too dark and could use a touch more gain. Wondering about the Crunchbox bridge pup. Anyone try em? Thanks

i have a dimarzio virtual paf in the neck of my paul. i absolutely love the sound of it. i only have one problem, it's not a duncan. i am completely anal about my guitars and the stuff in them matching. i have a logo'd sd dist. in the bridge and would love to put a logo'd duncan in the neck. heres my question, which duncan pup, if any, would come as close as possible to replicating the sound of the virtual paf? any suggestions? i figure if i can't find one that replicates the paf i could always put some sd covers on it. but i would rather just have a real sd in the neck.

I've got this invader in this Ibanez 7 string bridge and i'm not sure what to do with the black and green wires.
I think the invader black goes where the stock red was on the switch and the green goes where the stock white was on the switch.

Flame top, transparent blue, chrome hw, floyd, sharfkin, excellent condition with the exception of just 4 small nicks here and there, No case.

i have a chambered les paul and i was wondering what pickups are best for music like the allman brothers, phish, pink floyd and classic rock? What is the tonal difference between the pearly gates, '59, jb, and jazz?

Just won a Fender Custom Tele FMT HH off of ebay for a good price. It's Black Cherry burst, got PG in the bridge and a '59n. Can't wait to get it! I was originally bidding on the Amber model but someone sniped me with 40 seconds left. Couldn't get my bid in enough time, oh well. I love that burst finish as well and I got it a few dollars cheaper. So I'm happy......

I have them on my Parker. Silky smooth and DO NOT wear. I'm not sure if I like them or not because they do make the guitar a whole lot brighter and the frets quot;slipperierquot; because there's little resistance when bending and such. I'm considering having them done on my custom strat project neck but I'm undecided on it.
