I have a 97 american standard strat that came factory wired with a jumper between the middle and bridge positions on the 5 way coming from the lower tone pot. With my standard bridge pickup and the factory wiring, I had bridge tone control but nothing on the middle pu. I should also note that the tone pot looks a little different and has a notch type of feel once it winds to 10.

I recently purchased a Fender Precision Bass. I'm new to the world of bass strings. D'adarrio makes bass strings in short, mediium, long and super long scales. This particular P-Bass has the strings running through the back of the Bass. Which scale size should I use?

Posts for a tune-o-matic bridge. A bridge was slightly off kilter and posts weren't seated all the way down to the body. I tapped them in a little with a hammer until they were almost flush. One side of them pushed in a little more than the other and in the light you can see where the finish is pushed in a little bit and buckled slightly. Will this cause the poly coat to crack eventually at that spot? I'm assuming it's not all that flexible. It's a fairly thick glossy coat.

I don't rely on a whammy bridge but it's nice to have. I'm accustomed to a floyd but I've found that when I owned one I didn't use it that much.

Was listening to one or two of my own MP3s from a year or two ago... I kinda digged this one. Played using a PRS McCarty Soapbar into a 64 Vibroverb Reissue, recorded with an SM57 in a little Boss 4 track recorder. Lyrics completely ad-libed.

Has anyone seen or have played this amp head? It seems like it would be insane seeing that Fender is the quot;kingquot; of good amps.

I have a '64 Strat w/SD vintage type pickups (circa 1982). I love the tone. I have just bought a new quot;Mexican Strat' and I want to replace the stock pickups with some upgrades to get close to the '64's tone. Any ideas out there in pickup-geek land? (The Mex Strat is great BTW. About 450 bux w/case). For a 2nd 'stage' guitar.. R

Hey guys, can anyone tell me the major differences between these models? I'm thinking about eventually picking up one of these if I can find a good one at a reasonable price. I've read up on them a little bit, but I'm not exactly sure what the difference is between these models in terms of construction. Different finishes not withstanding, can anyone give me a quick rundown of the features of each model? I'm mostly concerned with things like neck thickness, long or short tenon, etc. I'd probably mod the hell out of it with new electronics, Tonepros bridge, locking tuners, etc, so those differences don't really concern me. Thanks.

i have a gamp;l legacy alder wood strat, i have a jazz model in the neck and a duncan distortion in the bridge, the duncan distortion seems noisy to me and it has no powerful low end, is this normal or could it be:
A. the alderwood tone

I'll install a jazz (neck) and a Jeff Beck (bridge) to my Les Paul. as I play heavy sounds and like bright and clear distortion, I think I should install 500k volume pots, but I'm not sure about the tone pots... some recommend 500k as Gibson did, some say 250k to get it not too trebely.

First off thanks for the great suggestions you gave for last time around for helping me select a set of pup's for my Artist. The A2P/PG set I picked got me in the ballpark but I think I need something different for the bridge.
