I just got a new Gamp;L Legacy and will not be using the vibrato. How do I go about tightening the bridge?

i was playing a brian may copy, and loved it, and my friend played it and we both agreed that this would be a great guitar to own. i was looking through the internet and found this:alternate may wirings
near the bottom of the page, there are 3 wiring diagrams. the are making up for the 8 usless positions. i would like to try one of those out. my question is, which of the (including the drawing, i mean the 3 that are adjacent to one another) which would be easiest to do (yes i realize they are all complex)?

Anyone with a USA Dean hardtail can you give me a review on the guitar...likes, disslikes etc. i'm considering buying one but have never played one before. also what's the neck shape like and what duncans does it come stock with? they are all listed as having duncans but no mention of which ones. thanks

I suffer from this quot;all time pickup changingquot; desease. Now I am a bit tired of changing pickups all the time and I would like to stick in a combination for a while . The guitar I am talking about it is a home made axe. The specs are all mahogany body, set thru neck, ebony fingerboard, 25.5' scale, wraparound schaller bridge and two humbucker pickups. Due the set thru neck, the mahogany and the wraparound bridge the guitar it is very, very warm. Only the ebony helps the guitar to push up some treble.

Is it possible to wire a vintage type 3-way strat switch (stock 57 reissue wiring) so the middle position is quot;middle/bridgequot; instead of just quot;middlequot;?

I just hit 500 bucks on a scratch off lotto ticket lol. So I'm going to spend it on my gear. I have Seths in one of my LP copies and really love them for that killer Mick Ralphs tone. I play a lot of Cream as well. I was thinking of getting a set of 59's to put in my other LP for Creams tone but now that I got the money I thought I'd get the best possible pups out there. This way I could have two entirely different stage setups and I'll be able to switch tones quick without having to play with amp settings and effects. What pup's will help me nail that tone on Crossroads?
I would like thoughts on Antiquities, Wagner Crossroads, etc...

Does anyone know of a good Marshall amp modder in the NYC area? I have a Marshall JCM 800 2x12 that I don't want to ship, Voodoo amps is 4 hours away in upstate NY, so I was trying to find someone local- figuring there's alot of music stores and Rudy Pensa is on 48th street I figured a few might be around but I don't know where to look

Do EMG strat pickups do a fairly authentic quot;notch positionquot; strat sound ala the number two and four positions of a strat? I've always wondered about this... Any input would be appreciated.

im going to order a floyd rose for my strat, and i dont know the fretboard radius. how can i figure this out? is it marked anywhere? will the serial number help me out? i have no clue, so someone help me out here!

Hello fellow toners. I am looking to upgrade the neck pickup in a mahogany body with a maple cap, set mahogany neck guitar that has a JB in the bridge. I a m looking for versatility with this guitar (Rock,metal,blues). I have heard the 59 can be woofy in mahogany and that the Jazz does not handle gain as well as the 59. What are your opinions on this?

I'm building a Strat, and I've got to buy the potentiometers, and I'm wondering what kind to get. It's my understanding that audio log taper pots are the traditional choice, and I will definitely use one for the volume control. But for the tone pots I'm considering linear taper. I can play chords pretty well, but I'm having trouble going from one chord to another without it sounding obscure. Instead of a clean transition, it just sounds like I chop of one chord and then go into another. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance

I was wondering about grounding. When you run the pickup wires, do you run all the wires to the 3-way switch, and ground there and then send a wire through to the pots, or where do you send the green and bare wires for ground? I'm wondering because me and my friend soldered and did the modification, but he said run them to the 3-way first, then out to the other parts from there. Do you guys do this, or only run the black wires from the pickups to that switch? Anyone got pictures? Thanks!

Epi stopped making them a few years back, just wondered if anybody had any thoughts.
