Anyone know of any good sites with vintage silvertone amplifier info? Slim pickings indeed.

I took my amp to a tech and he looked it over for free, he said its normal not to be able to see one of the preamp tubes lighting up, he said its probably just at an angle and you cant see it glowing, but it is.Its actually very loud, Im just nearly sitting on top of it so the sound projection isnt very good.
My roland cube 60 is still louder, but this thing can get pretty dang loud, its just loud as far as being able to fill a large area, and that must be a myth about needing to crank em for em to sound good, this thing can wisper with the same tone as when its cranked.Its a great amp, my pilot light still isnt working but a peavey dealership will take care of that for me.

For the bridge position of my uncle's Yamaha SG. He plays 70's classic and heavy rock. Which do you think? Or any other suggestions?

I traded a pup to a guy a while ago for an old PAF and it has only half the quot;patent applied forquot; sticker left on it. It is beat up and I compared it to a friends PAFs from a mid 60s SG and it is exactly the same. I want to know when they stopped making them with the stickers? Do they still have it? I'm not a Gibson player. Thanks. - Rob

Picked up a pair of Antiquity HBs on Ebay this week (8.47k bridge, 7.5k neck) and put them in my '91 Classic. I've had '57 Classics, '59s and A2Ps in that guitar. All were fine in their own way, but didn't inspire me as much as the Seths in my '96 Standard. It was only a matter of time before some Ants got in there.
