Hi, I'm purchasing a strat strictly for slide guitar and I'm looking for a pickup that produces a powerful and fat tone for an American made strat/ maple fingerboard. it currently has the single coil configuration. I would like a good bottom end without the mudiness and nice sweet highend without the shrill but lots of power and punch..or any other advice or ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. Oh yes!!!! If this may help.... I play through a single rectifier stack. Thanks. Joey

HI guys Im buying a guitar for hard rock and metal, and i have choosen a model from Tagima guitars (brazilian brand). It has 2 seymour duncans and a gotoh floyd rose bridge (one of the best ive heard). The thing is.. i really do not use the tremolo much... And what i like about my fender is that it is no problem to tune and intonate.. like i can change strings in a gig if one breaks. Someone told me you can block tremolos.. I would still like for it to dive.. But no need to get notes sharp. If I just block the tremolo for dives only will the other strings stay in tune even after a string brreaks?? Ok these are the 3 amps i have whittled it down to. I play mainly hard rock and metal. Could anyone who's played one of them let me know their opinions and to help me decide what to get. Looking for the one with both nice distortion and cleans!

I’m looking at getting a QP set for my tele, and I’m thinking about ordering the tapped version of each one. I see one tapped diagram on the schematics page (lead pickup tapped). In that diagram (5 way switch) what do the various positions do? I would assume there's a lead tapped, lead full, lead full with neck, and neck. That's four, what else is going on?

I'm selling a mint Vox V847 Wah Pedal unmodded and it includes original box, leather case, and even has the original plastic bottom covering. This pedal does not have a scratch on it and the chrome is perfect. I have never gigged with it or mounted it to any sort of pedalboard and only use it on the rare occasion to emulate Voodoo Child or other late 60's, hendrix riffs. I'm asking 85$.

I'm wiring my guitar up following the 2 humbucker, 2vol , 1 tone w/3 way schematic from the Duncan site, but my 3 way switch has 8 contact points like an ibanez HSH guitar, not 4 points like its supposed to, can anyone please tell me the right way to wire up this 8 point switch to work like a normal 4 point les paul or tele switch?My switch is the £7.00 3 way switch

Are they comparable? What is the difference? I am interested in practice and minimal recording. Whats the better option? Also, does a wah work alright in front of a guitarport? Whats the advangtage of RiffTracker?

Well I finally got some of the live mixes of our stuff from playing at Ground Zero here in Clarksdale, MS.....We have 4 available on our myspace page, all of them written by my 14 year old sister who also sings/plays lead guitar on the tracks.

Has anyone tried a JB in a maple-bodied guitar (superstrat type)? Just curious as to what it sounds like. I had JB in a mahogany Hamer Chapparal years ago (w/Floyd) and it was great, but being that maple is a bright sounding wood I'm wondering if the JB will be a little too trebly.

I did this one with a full quot;bandquot;, drums, bass, and me on guitars. Hope you like it, this time I dont think there are any timing problems. i have totally re wired an old ish guitar up, but the wires are all individual not the kind with two wires inside a thicker wire so it is quite a mess inside their.

I apologize for asking this on a Duncan forum, but I’m possibly looking for a couple of Dimarzio pickups with the chrome toppers (chrome bobbins). They are listed on the website but incredibly hard to find. I assume it’s a special order… anyone know who to contact?
