I still can't decide which one to get. It's between the following 2. It will be my only guitar for awhile so reliability will be a factor.

i'd really like the tremelo, but im not good at working on my own guitars at all. if i got that one, would i be able to have it set-up and be able to play with no maintenence for months? or if something needs to be fix or worked on, will somebody with no experience in maintaining guitars be able to do it? if it will need to be worked on relatively frequently, i probably dont want it. keep in mnd i dont play live, i only really play in my room on and off (maybe an hour a day all added up). i know ive already had a thread about the tremelo but wanted to get some more info. thanks

I'm a big fan of neck single coils, so I say 006. Plus the black cherry is killer. I have my C-1 Plus in Black Cherry.

As far as the trem, I think its something that can be learned with patience.

haha i appreciate the input...but looks aren't what im concerned with now. if it were on looks alone id prob go for the second.

what im wondering about is the tremelo vs hardtail aspect

The 00 series plays a lot better than the C series, my opinion (and many others) of course, but I prefer it.

Why they don't have a 006 FR or 007 FR is beyond me...since it's the quot;more metalquot; of them, ya know

Anyway, I like maple necks...the 006 has a 3-piece mahogany one? wtf...

OHHH!!! tunings...do you switch tunings? If you do, get the 006.

ohhhh yeah, i completely forgot to mention the tuning situation. all i use is standard and drop d a lot. will that be a problem?

If you are gonna change tunings on this guitar at all take the 2nd one. I personally am not a tremelo user and think they are more trouble than they are worth, but that's just me.

The 2nd one looks kind of stumpy but original, personally I would take that.

hmm, i say the 2nd one cause floyd rose sucks(i wish my guitar didnt have one) just yeah, get the 2nd.. floyds arent worth all the tuning and stringing just to do some wammy dives unless your really into that **** like kerry king. also what sucks about a floyd rose bridge is that it messes with your soloing techniques, trust me on this and get the 2nd one

How does a Floyd mess with youe soloing technique?

the 006 all the way!!!! much more versatile with the single coil in the neck. you can get heavy with the humbucker in the bridge, then sweet in the single-coil in the neck. also a very unique and beautiful body shape. im actually planning to get one of those!

006's rule with an iron fist lol. definatly go with the 006 specially for drop tuning with a floyd take a little longer and are more of a hassle than just a string through body. you ahve to ajust teh springs tension and all that good stuff, my rr3 has one i love it, but anyway 006~!! !!!!!!!!
