The buyer deposits the money into your PayPal account, and that transaction is at a status of quot;completequot;. You then withdraw the funds to your checking account, and that transaction is at a status of quot;pendingquot;.
Do you personally wait until the withdrawal transaction is quot;completequot; before you ship the item you sold, or are you good to go since the deposit transaction to your PayPal account has already been completed?
Thanks for any input. And only 6 weeks to go until the Gamp;L Legacy 2HB ships.
If the money shows up in my PayPal account then I always believed it was the responsibility of PayPal to make good on the funds. They're vouching for them being there.
With me PayPal items ship as soon as I see the balance.
I have called Paypal about this issue when I first started using them. I was told as soon as the money is deposited into your (Paypal) account, it cannot be removed. The buyer would have to file a complaint and go through that process to get the money refunded. The compliant process can take weeks and there must be a valid reason for the complaint and subsequent refund. I would urge you to call them yourself and double check what they told me.

Just to be on the safe side, I wait until it says it clears on the Paypal website. These days one can never truly be sure of anything.
I wait until cleared as well, unless it's a forum bro. Better safe than sorry. I read once about a scam where a payer could pull back the money somehow. It's probably not true....but with big ticket items I'm cautious. $50 over a pickup is not a worry....$2k for a Lester is annother matter.
Once its in my paypal account i'll send item.Never had a problem with paypal.
I ship as soon as it lands into my account. I also have the Paypal Mastercard twhich works like a Visa checkcard, so the funds are available right away.
Heres a tip for you Paypalers that deal in large amounts (like guitar purchases) Insist on being paid via Paypal with an E-check. Yes it does take a few days to clear, but they only charge a maximum of $5 rather than the 2.9% (3.9% for international transactions) of the price.

The only issues I have ever had with PP is that they took 3 moths to lift a limitation from my account after buying some home stereo stuff that was $$$$. I was pretty upset at the hoops and their inability to solve the problem.
I ship as soon as I get a paypal receipt. If paypal sends a receipt then it means the money is there.
