can anybody help me ouut here? whats the differences with changing my passives p-ups to an active humbucker.? what exactly would i have to change

Main differences (in changing, not the sound)

New pots: EMGs use 25k pots, Duncan LiveWires 100k (as opposed to the normal 250k or 500k)
New jack: actives use a stereo jack so that they draw power from the battery only when connected to a cable
Battery: the most visually obvious difference - you'll either need to make a route for a battery box, or (like most people swapping them in do) clip it up inside the cavity.

And the ground wire that runs to the bridge gets disconnected.

The EMGs or LiveWires basically come with all the stuff needed to do this, excluding the battery itself... basically, you'll just be replacing the pots, wiring, and jack (and, er, obviously the pickups).
