I took off for a week, and went up to Monterey County to visit friends.
My friend quot;Jack Creekquot; is getting ready to start work on his second CD, so he had a few amps in his studio. We spent most of Saturday pluggin into different amps and comparing tones.

hey people i havent decided yet which amp i want , i was checking out the jcm 800 , is this a good amp ?? i play mostly metal ! let me know your thoughts about it , also i wanna know how much are they going used?
i saw some guy in another post about the gear he has and he says that he spended $600 on the jcm 800 half stack ???? (we are talking about the 50 watt ) or let me know the diferences and which one is the better cause i have seen many of them in totally diferent price ranges, whats up with that?
Hell yeah they're good. If someone got a half stack for $600 then they got one heck of a deal. The 50 watter is what you want unless you're playing stadiums....it'll break up faster.

What company/models of acoustic guitars are amazingly low but still are good quality? I'm talking in the 300-400 range. I'm considering upgrading my cheap Olympia since I've been playing a lot of acoustic lately.

i am contemplating replacing the 6-saddle bridge in my tele. I read an article here on the SD website with Jerry Donahue who mentioned a 3-saddle bridge is a better choice of a saddle. Personally, I like my 6-saddle but am curious to know if a tele would improve with the 3-saddle bridge.
Here is my main problem. Initially, the guitar stayed in tune for days, sometimes weeks (literally, no joke). But the action was too close to the fret board and the string buzzes interfered with my tone. I use the Duncan '53 Antiquity set. Since then, I've raised the strings and adjusted each individual bridge saddle but the guitar's intonation is off and the guitar doesn't stay in tune like it used to. It's pretty bad actually. I use .10-.52 GHS Boomer strings. I am going to take it in to the local quot;guitar set-up man.quot;

I just installed a Jazz/JB combo in my Schecter. I followed the diagram online, but I am still getting A/C hum. I know it's probably a grounding issue, but I can't figure it out. The only thing I haven't done yet is insulate the Red and White wires, but I don't know why this would affect the hum.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Nobody knows? Could I have reversed the polarity?

More speakers allow greater quot;expressionquot; for a given amp right? And for better portability will 20 watts drive two 2x12 cabs?
What do you think amp guru's?
