I have a master workbook that I use to compile entries from about 25
different individual's workbooks. I have a page for each person set up
and was just using a formula

I get irritated with some of the default settings within excel. I see that
you can change the default setting for fonts, but not for number formats. Is
there anyway there something that I'm missing with respect to this?

I want to enter cell addresses and range addresses in formulas (functions)
such as vlookup using row and column numbers that are calculated elsewhere on
the spreadsheet. How do I write the range formula in a manner that takes its
cell address parameters from those other cells?
Precede the cell address with INDIRECT, such as INDIRECT(A1) will result in

My boss will have my head if I don't figure this one out tonight. He wants
the text from the document (which can be long in some cases) embedded in the
cell - does not want the floating document. is there any way to do this? And
if so, is it a case of cut and paste each individual document? There are
about 70 of them. Thank you!

I have several pivot tables within one spreadsheet. All pivot tables have
the exact same criteria within the drop downs (eg. country, region, city).
The quot;dataquot; presented in each pivot table is different (eg. revenue, gross
profit, net income).

I am trying to create a spreadsheet with two worksheets, the first is a list
where the user checks off a series of check boxes in a list, the second
worksheet is intended to be formula driven using the check boxes to calculate
the value of each item in the list. Hence I want to use the IF command in the
second worksheet to say if check box is clicked then the value equals x.

The trace arrows do not appear any more in my sheets - I still can see the
link sheet icon but not the dotted line?
