Does This Describe the Sound of the Antiquity II Surfers?

AlNiCo 2 or 3 in my humbuckers????
I'm having Jeff from Highorder Pickups make me a blues humbucker set. The set will be going in one of my Les Pauls. I'm having the neck at 7.8k and the bridge at 8.3k. Only problem is I can't decide between A2 or A3 mags for the pups. Would love to hear everyones suggestion on what to try. Going for a sound similar to Taylor, Ralphs, Green, etc... Just good ole blues.

Lynch Spec Duncan Distortion
I have a buddy overseas that has a Duncan Custom Shop Distortion pup, he says it's NOT a Screamin Demon, and that it's a bit hotter than a stock Distortion pickup. He says it kicks ass.

Help me choose a speaker for my Classic 30
Ok, I got a classic 30. Sounded good, put JJs in it, sounded better. I'd turn it up past 2 and the thing would rattle and shake and you couldn't hear whats actually coming from the amp. So, I built a damn good speaker cabinet for it that sits up about 2 feet on some rubber foam. Now I can play louder, but only about 1 more knotch up. When I get it up to about 3 or so, the speaker flabs out and sounds like sh*t. Just before it does that it sounds ok.

Gibson TP-6 tailpiece with fine tuners...get spoiled NOW!
It is not often that Gibson style players get to nut-up and buy hordes of gear like those available to the Fender crowd. You can quot;one betterquot; them, and everyone else with the Gibson TP-6 fine tuner tailpiece...A fine tuner without the off-pitch/time-wasting nastiness of a whammy bar with fine tuners. It is quot;Made in USAquot; (says so right on the bottom of the casting). To my thinking, a TP-6 is a 100% positive experience for a relatively small amount of cash.

Dimarzio Super 2 vs. Duncan Distortion
how do these 2 compare? my main concerns with the super 2 are: will it kick dirt onto my cleans? and who does the overall eq compare to the DD? (keep in mind i use a triple recto (the uncleanable) and mahogany bodied guitars, some with mahogany necks, and one with a maple neck and a DD in the bridge. they all have rosewood fingerboards.)

What If...?
I was browsing over a random guitar maker's website (I don't even know how I got there in the first place) and I stumbled upon a guitar that had an interesting concept.

Are Antiquity I single coils wax potted?
The title of the thread pretty much speaks for itself: Specifically, are the Antiquity I Tele pickups wax potted? On the SD page it just says quot;the ferrous bottom plates are not wax-potted for that quot;breakin'-up Tele twang tonequot; that's just on the verge of feedbackquot;, but are the coils themselves potted? If not, do the pickups have a problem with squeal or feedback?
Thank you.

own a bolt-on? please read
my hunt for a new guitar continues, so i headed up to the local pawn shop. dissapointed with about every guitar there, the last guitar on the rack caught my eye as i was about to turn around and leave. it was a natural wood finish Ibanez RG560. it played amazing, felt great to play a thin, fast neck for once with super low action. i didn't get to hook it up but i'm sure the stock pickups weren't to hot. anyways the problem i noticed, since it was bolt-on, was reaching the higher frets. i have never had this problem with other bolt-ons. i felt like i had to reach my palm all the way around the big bolt just go grab certain frets. to reach up to the low and A string was quite a stretch lemme tell ya. is this a common problem with most bolt-ons or am i just a whacko for not noticing this in the past?

150watts of stereo transistor-y goodness! I bought this amp 2 weeks ago, having to sell it due to money issues. I still have the original packaging for the footswitch that comes with it, and the amp is in absolute mint condition. Its never been gigged, barely used at all. I bought it for ?300, selling it for ?280 as it is practically brand new.

Some Help needed with new Engl Amp. Quick, pls!
so i went out amp-testing today to see what i could set up as my new goal to save for. Coming to the store where i had allready bought my Vetta II i instantly and seriously fell in love with an Engl Powerball fullstack with Engl Vintage(vintage 30s inside) cabs.
The sound was godly and it just blew away any other amp i played today(several, marshalls, mesas, some peavys and so on). Just the fitting tone for everything i wanna play.
