OK guys, i'm gassing for a firebird studio i'm loving the looks, but i'll be damned if i'm going to buy one sight unseen with all the stories about..
so yeah - what's the skinny on them? would a '59/jazz combo work well in them? i have the pickups in an old beater, which has started to show the abuse it's taken.. time to let them seymours shine
any owner's experience? what are the studio series in general like?

Tom What exactally are you wanting to know?
what's the quality difference like between studio and standard series gibsons? (not just firebirds..) it's too early to be getting used firebird studios through just yet, but it'd be good information to have
and what are the necks like on the firebirds? in terms of profile etc..
tom
The Studio Birds are made on the same line as the Standard and Faded LP's as well as everything else that is not from the Custom Shop...because of that QC is hit or miss, but there are good ones out there. As far as the neck, the Studio Birds are using the 60's profile which is on the small side, comfy but small.
ok, time to start looking for one locally!
thanks man, any other inputs? i'm particularly interested in dudes who have the firebird studio.. 60's profile sounds about what i'm after!
