can you tell me about it EQ shape?
does it have a semi scooped tone and a real good output?
are the highs ice picky?

Theodie uses em....he described them hmm.....let me recall. He installed one in a freinds les paul and said it's eq curve was balanced....and made the Paul still sound Vintagey with a little more balls.

Man, the mullett.

I moved while I still had the mullet and it was starting to do really well. The house we were living at had city water so my hair was very manageable and the mullet was starting to look SWEET!! Then we moved.

The new house is fed by spring water (we live on a mountain). As soon as I took the first shower, my hair went wildly out of control. I have extremly thick hair with lots of body to start with and this made it even more so. To the point of a guy with long straight hair that stands up and is all over the place. Needless to say, I would still have it if it wasnt for that. DAMN WATER!!!!!!

On the XL-500 subject, I find it balanced with great clarity. I find it similar to a JB in the way it cleans up when playing solos and leads. It does have a very healthy output and it is one of the most versatile (if not the most versatile) pickups I have played. Some pickups are versatile in the way of they do a few different things OK but, this one does a number of different things really well.

I'd like to buy the ring around that goes around the bobbins of the XL-500/Dimebucker. Does anyone know if I could buy one from ?
