I'm refinishing my Warmoth. While I was at NAPA, I picked up a couple cans of duplicolor laquer. I got home and realized it was acrylic (water based), not nitro. Does anyone know if it's ok to use that on a guitar?
I always use acrylic paint and lacquer, works fine
Acrylic lacquer is NOT water base. It will be fine on your guitar, it's all I use and I usually shoot auto poly on top...but you'll need spray gear for that.
Awe crap. I just ordered three cans of nitro from stewmac because I read somwhere that acrylic isn't as hard as nitro. Oh well. Anyone have any suggestions for what to do with two cans of acrylic lacquer?
