Yes, the guitar is totally free. They are also covering shipping. It's not BS. I know it may sound like BS and too good to be true, but it really IS true.

No catch, read that thread, at least my first few posts. All the info is there. You buy the package for $142 (and you have a $100 gift certificate to spend at 357 customs).

There's nothing wrong with the guitars, no catch. They aren't gonna be minis or keychains, they are the real deal good stuff.

I'm telling ya, it's real. I wouldn't BS anyone, and Chad Dyer certainly wouldn't BS anyone. 357 Customs and Zakk Wylde (And crew) are pretty tightly knit, the've done numerous promos/contests in the past and it's all been very good.

i dunno something just doesn't seem right to have an offer that would put you that much in the red. One of the Following is probably happening:357 Customs has a large stockpile of drug money and want to buy the epiphones to get rid of it
Epiphone has one hell of an upcharge
the Hells Angels (another one of Zakk's friends) are going to rob the recipients soon afterward
Zakk is giving out guitars to the needy like Oprah gave out those cars
Zakk is too drunk to care
357 really is despreate
357 is getting the guitars for peanuts

For starters, Epiphony is giving away a mini-chopper with the purchase of a guitar...but 357 is giving away a $900 axe for $150? Ummm...

Now if you head over to; from : localhost/it mentions NOTHING about the giveaway on the site, just that they gave away a scooter and a couple of guitars in November...11/15/05 to be exact and it's in the quot;newsquot; section. Click on their quot;shop nowquot; link and then quot;Zakk merchquot; and it brings you here with ZERO mention of that deal; from : localhost/64.49.233.159/SearchResults.asp?Cat=20

For as much as I'd dig getting an Epi LP for $150 I'm going to pass on this one...Even if some joker collects a few hundred credit card numbers inside of 48 hours the chances of his getting caught by the feds or worse, someone in Zakks camp is slim to none. If there ARE takers (and apprently there are) then I hope ya'll don't get ripped off. It might be weeks or even MONTHS before you know and you'll have no recourse with your credit card company, stolen cards usually need to be reported in 24 hours or less for you to liable for none of the charges. Beyond that point, you're generally 100% liable for anything that's on there.

They are two DIFFERENT promotions. 357 and Zakk wylde have done other promotions/contests in the past, these two are just more of them.

It is NOT mentioned on the Zakk Wylde merch page because that's NOT the deal. The deal is on the GIFT CERTIFICATE page. You have to buy the gift certificate/diecast package ( from : localhost/64.49.233.159/SearchResults.asp?Cat=26) to get the guitar.

I'm not too hip with looking up the quot;who isquot; info to see who owns a page, but it's NOT hard to register a fake domain and link it...especially not for experienced hackers. I couldn’t get to the page you listed from ANY of the 357customs pages, and it seems fishy that the “promo” isn’t listed on their site. You can register pretty much anything you want as a domain name, including blahblah_cat26 and make it look real. I’m not saying it’s 100% fake…but it doesn’t seem Kosher.

If it IS a scam and some chucklehead runs your card up for $10K you’ll have ZERO recourse with your card company.

Buyer beware. That’s all I’m saying.

too bad they dont have like one-time credit card numbers for one single transaction then you cant use it anymore
it would prevent alot of online purchasing headaches

The IPs match/are the same, it's fine.

1) from : localhost/357customs.com/
2) Collectibles or Shop
3) if you clicked on collectibles, hit quot;add to cartquot; it doesn't add anything, just takes you to the shop.
4) on the left menu bar, click on quot;357 gift certificatesquot;
5) There they are, the gift certificate/diecast packages are the last three items.
