Hello,

I have noticed that no matter what pickup gioes into my LP Standard's bridge, it always seems best with a 300k volume pot. Is this odd? I hear people say the bridge will be muddy as a result but it just seems warmer and creamier to my ears. That holds true with a WCR Fillmore, Rio BBQ, Duncan JB and C-5.

I thought the only real difference was upper mids or highs?
Isn't that the case with the Duncan website description?

Anyway, using a 500k pot and rolling off the tone pot does not do the same thing because the resistance is all different with a 300k pot.

I remember a guy on the forum running a test and had some sound samples of a 300k pot vs a 600k pot using a JB and the difference was so slight!

Thoughs?
