Okay, I am starting to get it. Artist Korina P90. The neck is about somewhere between a 50's and 60's LP. It needs some set up attention. Fretting a B note on the A string yields a bit of a sharp note. I'm going to put some 10's on it and get it set up just right such that adjusting the nut will be the last thing I *have* to do.
Tone is great. Not sure what Duncan P90s are in there but they sound good.
The guitar is semi-hollow and lightweight as heck.
I now have to decide whether to keep it or keep the new Strat. Gonna have to get rid of one of them.
Love those P90s though. Hard not to.
So...what do you think of Limba wood?
it's one of my fav tone woods ever.
A good Strat is a dime a dozen (IMHO!)..........KEEP THE HAMER !!!!
you need both those guitars to test amps with
no can do. gotta pick one to keep. The good news on the strat, I can buy one anytime or build one. I've actually got an old MIM strat that has a killer neck and such. I could just get a new body from USA or Warmoth, finish it and have a killer strat. Probably the easiest way to go.
1 for Warmoth.

Do I need to comment? I think not. (Enjoy!)
Getting a much-needed setup this weekend. Smooth player. Sometimes I get guitars from different parts of thecounty and the heat/humidity of Texas shakes them up a bit, neck specifically. But, it's got all the right parts, so maybe just a neck and action tweak and I'll be good. Otherwise, might need a new nut.
Rock on, Scott! I got to play one of those very briefly, but I loved what I saw of it. There's no question I'd keep the Hamer, but the decision is yours. I think you'll have a pretty killer guitar either way.
very sweet!!
started the set up this afternoon. plays 10 times better already. neck had so much relief that the saddles on the bridge couldn't go back far enough. I guess that's why the guy sold it. wasn't intonating worth a darn. After that, time for some different pups. It has a hot neck and a custom bridge in it. It's probably time for a set of Antiquities. Or put my A2 Antiquity back in the Les Paul and put my A5 Antiquity from UGD in there. Just leave the ceramic bridge in there. not sure.
Guitar plays like butter. tone is not quite there yet.
still not sure if I'm keeping it or the new Strat.
I vote you keep the Strat and sell me the Hamer!

Boy, I'd love to know how that thing would sound with a set of SM-3s!
Okay, I give, what the heck are SM-3's? I hate code talk. Just give me the name of the pup!
