Hi guys,

I have a question concerning magnet swapping. I have Fender widerange humbucker in 72 reissue from the mid-90s (made in Japan model if I am not mistaken). Does anyone know what type of magnets are in these things? Would changing out the magnet benefit this pickup? Would a standard-sized repalcement magnet fit? I have seen Alnico V's available. Any suggestions?

My apologies for all of the queries.

thanks

Even if it's an alnico V change it. Other pickup companies magnets aren't as good as Duncans, especially in stock pickups. The Guy Who Inveted Fire told me about a Gibson pickup with an A5 that he swapped to a Duncan A5 and the tone increased immeasurably.
