For those who have asked me or ever wondered about the MkIII Master Volumes, I have lots of info on my web site about them. There will be more info to come I'm sure but as it stands right now, it should answer a lot of questions.

Marshall JCM900 MkIII

I like the site Erik!!!!!!!! The MKIII's are definetly over looked by most people!!! I have noticed that they are gaining value since I got mine. I bought my 2100 a year or 2 ago from GC used for $500. It seems like at that time they were about the same price on Ebay but, it seems like they are fetching more money now. Have some people taken notice??????

I dunno. It's possible since all the JCM800's are being snatched up and what is out there is out of the average gigging musician's price range. I'm hoping that with that page, some good words will be spread about the JCM900 amps, especially the MkIII's.

We should start a club for MkIII owners

There's a small one here already. . I know of us 3.

You're right. Sometime soon, the rest of the forum will be GASSING for one too

If one of you guys would buy my Black Les Paul then there would be 4...until then don't complain

I can't afford it, unless you'll be happy with a couple of bucks?? I still need to pay the second payment and shipment on my upcoming guitar

5$ - what you say ?? Too high, or ??

Or as Dave would say.... Fo-fiddy, mang.

aayour stupid club....

I am not certain which one I have, but I think it is a 4502, not sure. I bought it a long time ago.

What does it say on the amp?

On a serious note..you guys ever play with the half power setting?

Comments?

I have, but at a lower volume setting. There is a change in the tone. It's not as big and full. It still sounds good, just not as good as full power. This is based on the 100 watt. I don't know how it would affect the sound of the 50 watt.

I had one of those, the first edition. Great sounding as it was, it was still missing something. Then when I played the Marshall MkIII, I knew what it was....the tone. 5150's are good amps, no denying that, they lack that smooth and warm overdrive that these Marshalls have.

Nothing sounds like a Marshall..except a Marshall...even the boutique stuff is just not quite there....Maybe because they are trying to 'improvequot; upon it?

I don't know...but nothing has that sparkle and crackle and KERRRRANNNGGGG like a Marshall.

You guys make me even more impatient.. Of course this isn't my first Marshall, but the MG series aren't exactly 'classic Marshall'
