hi dudes...
i was wondering what's about this 3 buckers (parallel axis blues saraceno, original parallel axis trembucker and parallel axis distortion trembucker), and what they have to offer to be quot;cutting edgequot; pups...their description aren´t as explicit as others...so what do you think about them?
i asked the wizard for buckers for hard rock/metal for an all mahogany, ebony fingerboard axe w floyd rose and the tone wizard suggested me the parallel axis distortion trembucker paired with an alnico 2 pro (and the standard jb/59 set)

i want to put some seymour's in my jackson rr3.....i play alot of songs that slash does and love his sound. but i also play motley cure,poison,ratt,van halen, ect. any suggestions would be appreciated
Well, a JB at bridge does 80's stuff wonderfully IMO. A very good pickup to start with as well. Very versatile and almost an industry standard, as far as there are such!
Slash uses AIIPros so that could be a nice neck pup for it, although I haven't tried it personally and can't elaborate more on it.

I'm currently thinking about getting the Dimebucker. But I'm stuck on which neck PU I should choose. My guitar currently have an EMG 81/60 config. I'm also a Line6 POD XT user, and I've sort of dialed the Dimebag sound pretty close. But I'm missing that palm crunch, ya know! I've also put the Invader into consideration but made up my mind on the Dimebucker (unless you tell me otherwise ).
Anyway, now I have to find the neck PU. I'm looking for something that is simular to the EMG-60.. This crystal clear sparkling clean sound. But I'm also an allround player. I play everything from Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Johnny B. Good. And when I'm recording it is aggressive metal (Metallica, Pantera, In Flames etc.). So it should be evenly good for both clean rythm and fat leads (not muddy of course).

I have a Marshall Valvestate 8100 head. It runs at 4ohms. I want to grab a new cab that runs in 16ohms Mono and 8ohms stereo. The VS 8100 has 2 outputs.
Would it be safe to run both outputs into the 400W cab with the two 4ohms outputs on the Marshall?

So I've got a Strat that I need pickups for. I have a 57/62 neck pickup that I just love the tone of and would like to keep in the instrument for some versatility.
I was thinking of going with single-coil sized stacked humbuckers for playing live and retaining the vintage look of the instrument. So here's my thought:

If you are looking for an incredible deal on an acoustic that sounds and plays great, check out Walden. It's one of those things where you look at the price and start wondering what you're missing... The things play and sound so great that it just seems wrong that they are priced where they are. They sound and play like much more expensive guitars. Taylor? Forget it. I used to love their guitars but the Waldens sound and play just as well and they are much less expensive.
Just trying to help you out, tone bros. If you're looking for an acoustic, I highly recommend that you check them out.

I stripped the body and found a weird type of grain (located just above the p/guard).

My Blues Jr's reverb is not working ( older one, common problem), I saw a site on the web about some components that get hot and develop a cold solder joint that can be fixed easily but, I can't find the site anywhere. Does anyone know where the site is? I looked at the site where all the mods are and it wasn't the right place. Any help would sure be appreciated.......Joe

I just tried the Invader a Marshall AVT 100 Head combination and I was very surprised (in a good way) by my Invader's tone. I got beautifull highs, thick sweet mids and of course fully crunchy bass. The ones that still beleive that the Invader is muddy or has no treble are really crazy!!!!
I'm glad you liked it. I've had Invaders in the bridge and neck position of a couple of the guitars I've owned. Currently have one in the bridge spot on my strat.
I would never call the Invader Muddy, I think it is a grea pup, and I highly reccomend it to all Rockers

I'm looking at maybe picking an old cheap Ibanez that appears to be a RR style body. Anybody know if they ever made something like this or if it's somebodies home project? It definitely has an Ibanez neck. Thanks.
I don't remember ever seeing a quot;sharkfinquot; body instrument made by Ibanez, but it certainly wouldn't be the first time I was incorrect.
