The following is pasted from the georgelynch.com newsletter:

George will also be unvieling his new ESP
Brahma super V guitar that he has designed and is
building with master Luthier John Gaudesi.
Powering the super V will be George's new Seymour
Duncan Screamin Demon V pickup.

As if a new ESP sig guitar wasn’t intriguing enough, there’s a new (and I assume improved) Screamin Demon? Anyone have the scoop on this pup yet?

I would guess the new pup design is needed b/c the red book Demon doesn't work well.

They recently scaled down the number of Lynch Signature guitars, so this will be a welcome addition! (As well as increasing the collectability of the ones no longer in production)

red book? am I missing something?

No kidding, I've always wanted a bamp;w serpent, but I'm sure that once they stopped production on it the value skyrocketed, placing a used one well out of my wallet's reach. My fellow bandmate has a 1999 Haji that is yummmy.

Haha, I just read that email too. It looks like he switched from Framus to Randall for the signature amp. And the signature Dean Markely all nickel strings should be great too. I use Fender all nickel strings and they're better than D'Addarios.

Sorry ... red book means 'standard'. It's a digital audio geek term.

By quot;doesn't work wellquot; are you refering to the Demon not being as quot;signaturequot; as it may have once been, or just plain doesn't lend itself to George's evolved style (which is what I am assuming)?

Whatever the case may be, it will be very interesting to see how evil this new Demon will be.

i love it as it is

the name suggests an alnico V magnet, but i swear thats what it already has?

Yeah, the V is to go with the name of the guitar. The Screamin Demon has an alnico 5 magnet.

Maybe the new GL pup is shapped like a V or a bomberang like those old Gibson Flying V's that had Bomberang shapped Pickups. Dumb idea I know but just though of it for some reason.

Also did Lynch use Randalls before? Back in the 80's sometime.

screamin demon V sounds good to me !!!!!!!!!!! we should ask EVAN about this pickup. new guitar! new amp! new pickups! sounds like all the rest of us
