VSBoth of these are very nice cabs. The Bogner is more quot;in your facequot; and loud. Both have Vintage 30s. Both are very heavy and well built. I already reviewed the Mesa in detail so more on the Bogner. This sucker will fill up a room as well as most 4X12s. It is just a great cabinet. No rattles or farts (the Mesa was the same way) but it moves a lot of air. The Bogner is the best 2X12 I have ever played but it will run you over $100 more than the Mesa. My Bogner has one mono 8ohm input. You can't go wrong with either cab IMO. The bottom line: the Mesa is back at GC and the Bogner is staying!!! Now, I am fighting a bad GAS attack to get a matching XTC.... god help me!!! Very cool! The Bogner looks almost twice as big, could that be why it fills the room so much? Fueling my GAS even more... Great!

My local music store is now carrying PRS guitars. Played a white, Korean made one with P-90 pickups. The model is the SE Soapbar II. The workmanship, finish, fretwork, feel and all around playability was nothing short of outstanding. Great action with no fret-buzz at all. I've been wanting to explore a P-90 equipt guitar and this is a definate possibility. But like all my other gear purchases, I believe in doing my homework before buying. Does anybody here have any experience with one of these? Any and all info is appreciated. Thanks. I have one, and you are correct, they are killer guitars for the price-point. IMO they actually didn't have the vintage P90 vibe that my Gibson soapbars did, so I put EMG P85's in it to turn it into a modern guitar. Look around, they pop up used fairly often for a few $$ less. I got my SE II in white for $400 shipped and it was still like new.

Hails Guys.. i want to know if Mr Seymour will plan to release or RETIRE ANY NEW humbuckers? I WOULD like to see a Tighter bass version of the CC. and a CC neck, of course. AHAHHAAHAHAHHAAHHA AND A HIGH GAIN (BETTER)version of the stag mag. i mean, Sd really has to make a STRAT Humbucker for high gain solos in the neck and bridge, and that could do Metal as well

The new Ravelle Elite, Deluxe amp; Dave Kushner Signature sure looks cool, but how do they sound amp; play? I noticed that they got Duncan JB and a Sustainer, and one got a Duncan Jazz in the neck instead of the Sustainer. However, we don't have an importer for Fernandes in Norway, so I hope some of you have tried one, and could tell me a bit about it? I have read the Harmony Central reviews, but ... I have played a few of them...they are pretty bad ass! I like them a lot. The one I played had the JB/Jazz set up, and it was killer. Sounds like a Les Paul, but looks like the BC Rich that never was. There are a few guys here that own one, so maybe they will chime in! Good luck

Sorry about asking so many questions about so cheap an instrument... Will a MIM Fender Tele neck fit an SX Tele body? it should. I'll do a little googling and find out the exact specs and get back to you. everything looks like it checks out. The onlything that might not work are the neck holes. YOu might have to drill new ones. But other than that, it seems as if it will fit. You don't think the thinner body would affect anything?

I've been wanting to get a nice Strat for a while now and pulled the trigger yesterday at my local mom and pop music store. It's a standard burst finish fat strat with rosewood fb, brand new '05 that I got for $350. I traded in my Agile and got about as much for the trade in as I would have gotten selling it on ebay. I'll have to post pictures later. It really resonates well and the neck is VERY nice especially for a mexican strat. Now for the fun....Mod time! All suggestions are appreciated. I do think that I will take it back to a SSS configuration. I was thinking a brown shell pickguard, parchment knobs, switchtip and pup covers. I will do a complete shielding ala Guitarnutz.com, it really works well. Now for the pups.......I love hot vintage tones so suggest away. It sounds pretty sweet. I'm looking forward to the pics. Glad you liked it. Oh man, we can be MIM '05 sunburst Strat buddies! Though mine is S/S/S and has a maple neck, but never mind. If I were you I would leave it with a bridge humbucker, changing it can be a pain in MIM Strats.

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has experience with ES330's or ES335's, especially those vintage models from the 60's 70's and perhaps as recent as 1981. I know that double cut LP jr's, SG's amp; SG jr's encouter real issues with neck strength and often broke, but I was wondering: is a similiar affliction found in ES330/ES335's? I was also wondering if anyone has experience in playing vintage guitars of this ilk (es335/SG's amp; SG jr's/ LP jr's, etc) which have headstock or heel break repairs. Obviously, such a break will make a vintage guitar quite affordable, even for those of average means, but I would hesitate on the purchase if the relevant break might result in noticable changes in sustain and/or overall tone. Okay, long story short: would you ever buy a guitar which has been repaired from a headstock or heel break?

I don't know if this has been posted before but this site is really cool, it lets you compare all kinds of different desirable amps with a strat and a les paul with clean and dirty settings through an appropriate cab. from : localhost/it out! damn you...now I have some real bad ($$$) GAS! Wow... that site has everything! It's too bad they don't give you cab options for all the amps though lol

I'm gassing for the tune-o-matic variety myself...anyone with experience with Fishmans? from : localhost/fishman.com/products/details.asp?id=56 Never tried the Fishman, but I have tried the LR Baggs piezo system. In General, the Baggs and Graphtech systems get better reviews than the Fishman. Ryan I got one on a strat. Its really nothing special, it can get some cool acoustic sounds, but IMO not really worth the price.

I Just had this chassis custom built for me. The 2204 MV curcuit is coming out of the Laney (Pictured below) The stock PCB is going back in the Laney.I have a 2x12 cab that I've had for years. So I'm think'in this is gonna look and sound good sitting on that Cab. All I need now is a couple of transformers,Some jacks and switches and tubes... And a head box. cool. who did you use? Are there any? Is there some sort of way to tell between an Alnico 5 vs. Alnico 2, Ceramic, whatever with merely a visual inspection? Is there anything stamped on them? Different colors?? hey guys, I have a chance to get the Duncan JB Sh-4 bridge pickup for real cheap, and comes with a golden cover too, which is exactly what i need. I've already put an order for a Duncan Distortion with gold cover to use in my Lespaul bridge position. How does the JB work in the neck position even though its a Bridge pickup? Any info would help.Thanks I dig it a bunch! Kinda thick though, I don't know how it'd fair in an LP. It's nice and syruppy, and has a great singing tone. It's also very well defined and never gets boomy.
