Just bored tonight so I thought I would toss up a clip. Useing my El84 loaded Bassmate and my Gibson cab loaded with a ( 2) Swamp Thang speakers. ( currently my favorite) I had a PZM mic several feet back so there is some room vibe to the clip. Just a quickie....

Thanks Mr Sound,

This is just a scruffy one, but I love that little amp. Thanks for checking it out.

Hey that is very cool to hear. I thank you greatly man!

I have no speakers on my laptop, but how would you describe the Swamp Thing tone?

It is warm on the top and really fat w/o being muddy on the bottom. Loud as hell with real nice touch sensitivity which I did not expect for a speaker with this power handleing. The warmer top and really sold me on it. They take a while to break in but once they do it is really tasty. This clip is just a quicky of me messing around but I have put this speaker through its paces and it is just great. Strat neck heaven!!

I like those chords and riffs.. The high notes jump right out there. The tones are definitely open and full. Nice chops as usual bro.

Sounds great as always.

Sounds like a hot little amp.

1 It is a great amp. It burns my A$$ everytime I think about it. I
could have got one for $75 around 15 years ago! Instead I bought
the Musicman 65 sitting next to it. I picked the Musicman over
the Traynor only because it had reverb. Then I get it home to discover
it has a SS preamp. Whent back to trade it for the traynor... It was gone. Sounds Great Kev!!

Mucho appreciado!!

I am sure that in my haste to enter the track I wrote it was a 60... I think every other word I write has some error or another.

KMC, Arrrrggghhhhh 75.00 bucks. Man. There was a day when I thought that more amp features were better but now I am firmly in the three knobs or less school of thought. A friend and I were just chuckling about the shiz I used to buy. 3 channels minimum, independent volume and EQ was a must. Verb, FX loop, switchable power tubes... YUCK!! It wasn't an amp I was after, it was a spaceship Somewhere in all that mess there was tone I am greatfully simplified a cranky old man took me under his wing and done showed me the light. Ain't know going back for me!! My Laney is the most modern amp I have. BTW I just stuck a 12Au7 in V2 and it did amazing thing to the tone of that amp. I had one sitting around and just love how it slightly opens up the gain while making the amp fatter. I did not like it in V1 or V3 as it took too much gain out but it found its sweet spot in that 2nd position. Gotta pick up some more for my other amps.

I have a couple of 1 month old swamp thangs for sale. Check the trading post if interested.
