Who here is using one of these and how do you like it? I need a power supply but I need it to be able to power both types of Boss pedals as well as my Rat, Duncan boxes, etc. Any thoughts, good or bad...let me know!
I had one for a while and it was great. I don't even remember what happened to it. It's a much better alternative to what I use now (power strip and AC adapters). Matter of fact I will get another one soon.
I've heard nothing but good about it from a lot of folks who are good at finding fault.

Hi folks. I currently have two SH-1 pickups, one neck and one bridge. My Neck pickup is defective so, I am wondering, can I put my SH-1 bridge pickup in the neck position and then add a JB model to the bridge or will it sound like crap with a bridge pickup in the neck? Is there a difference between the two SH-1s?

I am playing out tonight. I have the choice of my $$$ temporary PRS SE Soapy or a $$$$ 91 Paula Custom. I am gonna go with the PRS! The Paula is killer, but I just can't get used to the way it feels to me!! I want a Paul so bad because they look and sound so good, but I just have never gotten used to em'. I guess I'll always be stuck as a Tele man!! On an off note the only thing my Tele needs now is a neck and some paint.. I can't wait!!
Hey, quick question, what is this big hunk of metal on the back of your tele?

Hey Everybody, generally speaking does a lower output bridge humbucker = better clarity under medium to heavy distortion? Thanks for the help.
i guess it doesn't. Emgs have seriously high output and have clarity as hell even under ultra heavy distortion.
I don't think clarity is the issue. Even 2 pickups with the same output may sound different depending on the wire/wind used, etc etc.

Hey guys. I have access to a cheap bone nut, and Iquot;m wondering what the advantages are of bone over plastic. What do bone nuts sound like? How do they affect string life? How would they sound/function in an SG? THanks.
Bone is more dense so you'll have more vibrational transfer. It will also be more secure against the string vibration from wear.
It'll still wear, but slower and more evenly,(= easier to fix).
Bone is always better than plastic, that's why it's one of the choices of high end gear.

Does anyone know of some reputable effects pedal repairmen?! The first switch on my Line-6 DL-4 has decided to be less than co-operative in basic function and response. All help is appreciated.
And for Christ's sake look at this bastard dance.

After all this time wrestling with my V-amp and my Fender 650 (which is one heck of a good box, but just not working too well with the v-amp), I tried plugging my blue thing into the crummy little marshall MG15 DFX I got along with my guitar. And it sounded good - the V-amp sounds warmer, and the crunchy models sound good after they're quot;Marshallisedquot; a bit.
Then, in a moment of majestic abandon, I plugged my guitar right into the MG. And you know what?
It actually wasn't that bad.

hey guys some of you might know that im selling my dear old les paul, ive decided that the strat really is my thing right now. so im gonna buy a strat purely for how great it feels and how resonant it is unplugged. i dont care if its a squier. well yeah, i do. im gonna make sure the components are pretty good. i dont want to gut the entire thing. but then im going to replace all the pickups to get a stevie ray/texas blues sound. what pickups are best? im sure duncan makes a great set. i was thinking about the antiquity texas hots with custom bridge surfer. but waht about van zandts? fralins? lollars? i was looking at the van zandt blues pus and the fralin blues specials and they are definitely candidates... they both end up being cheaper than the antiquity duncans once put in a set of 3 too.. so anyways opionions?
Other -- Suhr V60LPs.

Hey guys.. I put a DD in the bridge position of my RG 550 and while I love the DD and always will as I find it to be one of the best all around EQ'd pickups on earth, on this guitar it's a little bright, because the guitar is bright by nature with the Ibanez Trem which is a real monster, but I love it.. Anyway, I'm going to go to the Tone Zone in the bridge which is also a high output pickup, and I'm wondering if the DD would work in the neck or is it too high in output compared to the Tone Zone? It seems to me that from memory the Tone Zone was about the same in output or even more, but I don't know for sure, and I can't tell by looking being that SD doesn't publish MVolts in output, but just DC resistance, and I don't even know for sure if that matters? I'm not an electrical engineer for sure..hehehe.. Any help would be greatly appreciated! If it will work, or anyone thinks it will, what single coil would be good for the middle of these two hums?
Thanks so much
Tim

Hi All,
I have a new/used Ibanez Artstar. When attempting to set it up for the first time, I was unable to move the saddles for the lower 3 strings (E,A and D) forward enough for correct tuning (just barely). Those three saddles are in opposite orientation (slanting different direction) than the upper three, so that the lower three can not be tuned as sharp. HARD TO EXPLAIN!
My question: It probably was built this way for a reason, but I think I need to reverse the orientation of the lower three so that they are like the others, so I can get a sharper tuning. Am I missing something, or would that be ok?
