Is there a way to tell how old a used Boss pedal i bought is... It was made within the last 6-7 years or so but is there a date code?
Also when buying used Boss Pedals i have been noticing that the pedals from the last 10 years start to rust at the back cover screws..... It is like there is some sort of metal differences rusting together back there.... Does anyone know why the screws seem to rust so baddly on some...

What do you feel is the best match for the jazz neck. I currently have the JB in the bridge position, and it is way to shrill for my tastes. I will be changing it out this weekend so I will be able to enjoy my LP instead of dreading picking it up. I want a well balanced full sound in the bridge that handles distortion well and great pinch harmonics are a plus. I posted this thread earlier and mentioned I wanted a more vintage output but I wanted to open it up to all available options. Thanks to Lew, Theodie, and Luke Duke for your previous responses.

Preferably with a Jackson logo (or even better a Charvel one), but I don´t really care as long as it works.... please none with stripped holes, that´s exactly the problem I have now

A buddy of mine's son wants to record onto his computer via 2 guitars,keys,drums,bass etc....He's looking at the SB Audigy 2ZS Platinum sound card,but I think an actual guitar recording software product is still needed right?
Can you guys maybe recommend an intuitive computer recording software program for a beginner getting into recording?
What about sending us a really good link all about the topic?

When is this Stack-plus pickup going to be available? Can anyone give me a discription of what they are supposed to look and sound like?
Should be out this year is what I heard last...they sound VERY close to vintage style Strat pickups w/o the hum, they look like normal Strat pickups, the covers can not be taken off and they say on the covers.

So I picked this little beauty up at the music store last week on Tuesday before a gig on Wednesday, and MAN is it a great little pedal. I guess it's more of a noise GATE than general reduction, but either way it works really well, which is probably nothing you guys haven't heard before.
I'm surprised how much one knob (threshold) can really do, since I haven't bothered with the decay knob yet... What I wanted in a noise suppressor was that silence in between chords or individual notes.... or complete silence and then.... WHAM loud noise out of nowhere, that real Cowboys From Hell and Domination punch. That's exactly what I got, and boy does it cut out my Randall's noise in general, I can't wait to try it with the EQ that should get here any day now!
Pointless post? Sure. Just felt like venting about my birthday gift

Hey folks.. I'm wanting to chage out the pickup in my coming soon Ibanez.. I'm looking for a Duncan Distortion F Spaced in Black. I'd also consider a Dimarzio Distortion in black F spaced or Tone Zone or Air Zone.. or Fred or ?
The only other Duncan I really think I'd try would be the invader! PM me with what you have and how much you want to send here to Indiana.. Please include shipping charge! I'll get back with you within a day or two at the most.. probably within the same day..
I'm most interested in the Duncan Distortion, but would also be interested in the Tone Zone, or better yet the Air Zone.. Black, Red, Green, Yellow, doesn't matter as long as it's not pink! hehehehehe..

I've been looking at some double-neck guitars and was wondering if anone here has one or has played one and how you liked it. It seems like it would be cool to be ale to switch between a twelve and six string without changing guitars. I also wont a guitar thats very eye catching. I've mostly been looking at the epiphone and agile 12/6's the gibson is alittle out of my budget.
I had a 1275 years ago, yes they are and look cool, but:
It's not a guitar you would want to play all night, VERY HEAVY;very much a beast to handle.-
It seems it takes a long time to tune all 18 strings, and you are worn out by the time you finish!-

I am about to replace the tubes in my Mesa Rect-O-Verb, and am wondering what I should get brandwise, etc? I have never bought tubes before because the ones I got with the amp when I bought it used have lasted me til now. Any ideas? Also, does anyone have an estimation of how much it will cost me to get a brand new set of tubes? Anyone who owns a Mesa Single Rectifier please chime in. Thanks.
Also, how easy is it to install them? I'm wondering if I could do it myself and save some cash or if I should hire someone to do it for me.
