I used the SEARCH button. The Iommi pickup in my Epi LP is great for high frequency feedback supression, but last night I found out that I can get a low frequency feedback (in the upper frequency range of an electric bass).
It almost seems as if the entire pickup is vibrating, as I can put some finger pressure on the pickup, and it stops.
Can the stock mounting springs be weak? Should I stuff the pickup pocket with spongy foam?

This is a near mint Hamer Sunburst Quilttop. Bought about two months ago. This si sort of the Chinese knock off of the Hamer Studio USA. With a little more bells and whistles visually speaking. Body is quilt maple over mahagony. Binding is cream and albalone over the entire guitar. It is spectacular looking, yet once you take a close look at it, you see some minor flaws (from average workmanship). However, the neck is nice and flat and it plays really well. I'm not used to thinner neck like these, yet access to the higher frets is a heck of a lot easier than with a Les Paul type.
I changed all wires and pots and the 3-way toggle switch and it is now studio quiet. I first thought the pickups were microphonic, but the problem came from cheap electronic parts.
The stock pickups are comparable to Epiphones. If you hate Epiphones, you'll hate these .

Hi,
I did a little search in here and found no occurrence of quot;kitty hawkquot;. Has anyone tried a Kitty Hawk amp?
The thing is, a guy in my area is selling one (a 15W 1x12quot; combo), just the sort of amp I want, and I have no idea if Kitty Hawk amps are good. As far as I know, they're German-made and sort of boutique. Also, Matthias Jabs of the Scorpions used (or uses) them.

Im going to upgrade my strat. I am going to buy a Hot Rails Neck and I want a Humbucker in the Bridge(routed already). Im thinking about two pickups.. The JB and the PATB2 Distortion Trembucker. I want a pickup that would match in sound the Hotrails better(Enough gain and not much highs... just enough for some harmonics)... So what do you think is better??? Another Question... should a leave the middle pickup as it is or shoul I buy a more powerful single?? Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The JB will have more upper mids and highs than the PATB dist. The HR in the neck will be warm, but you will have to play with it to get the height perfect.
In the middle you could put a cool rails, or a hot single.
