can any onyone tell me what a TELE bridge pickup would sound in the neck?
I saw a vintage Fender tele bridge pick up today at the Musci store..And was wodering how it would sound in the neck positon.. I know this is wierd but just wanted to know
Getting it to fit would be the first hurdle.

ok i plan on getting a peavey XXX soon and i heard the clean channel isnt all that great.. would the BOSS Super Chorus pedal help that out at all?
and also can the Equalizer Pedal add an awsome boost to your solos? and would it be a good purchase to go with a XXX?
also if anyone knows if the phase shifter makes a better clean sound as well cause on the website it sounds pretty cool.

ok, i was never a big pedal user but now i've been buying more and more pedals to complete my quot;collectionquot; and it's time to set up a board and use them a bit more. anyway, i need some help with what order to put them in and what goes into the loop and what in line with the guitar etc...

anybody own one of these crat power block and the smaller special cab it comes with.anyone know how the distortion /clean channel sounds ect. this combo is on MF and i was thinkin of buying one........can

I just bought a new mahogany body IbanezRGT42DX-BP. Wonderful neck, awfull sounding pickups (inf 1 amp; 2). Tone wizard suggests JB or Custom in bridge. I play classic rock (Zeppelin, Rush, Deep Purple). I want a tone that cuts and crunches for rhythm and a lead sound that sings and is responsive. What do you reccomend in the bridge, JB or Custom ? (I play thru a Marshall)

it confuses the **** out of me
i got the '05 catalogue in front of me and it shows the HH 5 way switching. once with the switch up and once with the switch down.. and i just cant draw a line and say ah-ha! this is how it works..
cos one on graphic is selects one single coil, but on the other it does the exact illogical oposite..

Got Antiqs in one strat and Fat 50's in another. Strat #3 needs something unique. No HB's allowed. Those tones are covered in spades but everything else is fair game.
What say you?

What does it cost (Ballpark) to have a guitar refretted?

$140 is not an accurate price! It will depend on guitar type (bolt neck, set neck, etc) what kind of fretboard wood, or does it have binding? Is it a vintage insturment or not, what type of frets you want, etc? I do guitar work for a living so I do have credentials! Usually they start at about (from a qualified luthier) the $175 mark all the way up to $300-$400 depending. Feel free to PM me for an estimate or more insight on this issue!

o.k. i started having problems with my peavey backstage plus 1x12. i have no idea about electrical work so i figured i would ask for some help.
when i turn it on, it barely produces any volume like it should, (on 3 it is enough to hear through the house) now i have to turn it up to around 6 or 7 just to hear it. i will play for a little while then it starts surging like it is trying to get louder,(think of using a volume pedal and shifting back and forth) then all of a sudden BOOM, it blows your ears out and plays normal and i turn it down. it will play like this for 30 minutes or so then fade out again and the volume starts surging again. before it started doing this, it started having a little distortion through the speaker like you were running a very mild overdrive. at first i thought maybe it was the speaker, but i took it out and tried it through another amp and it was fine, no distortion at all, so that also is coming from the amp. then tonight it starts this with the volume surges. i have no idea whats wrong. none of the pots are scratchy and neither isthe jack. it's just hell i dont know. some one please help and tell me what all could possibly be goin wrong here. this is my practice amp. i dont want to be relacated to the shop everytime i wanna jam because the crate is just way too loud to try and play in here.
Well i was having the same problem with my laney, the tech said it was a bad micro chip that was causing the volume fades and jumps. I havent gotten it back yet, but thats the last thing they told me was going on.
