I just read a review about a pickup that's powerful enough without becoming quot;vowel likequot;. What the hell are they talking about? I have this mental sound in my head that each time I hit a chord it cycles like:
Aaaaaa Eeeeee Iiiiiiiiiiii Oooooo Uuuuuuuuand sometimes Y
I have no idea. But I want whatever it is they are smoking.

Has anyone tried these? They've been out awhile and aren't too bad priced used.
I'm looking for a decent tube amp that rocks.
The 50w has el34's. Would that be better than the 30w el84's? Probably not going to gig, mostly record.
Maybe the 40w XXX ?

I'm considering dropping a humbucker in the neck position of my Strat so I can get nice jazz rhythm sounds, but I'd like something with a coil tap so I can get the single-coil sounds as well. Any advice on neck humbuckers that also sound good when tapped?

Are these as good as a Real PRS? Are they better than the equivalently priced Epiphones? They look like a really nice offering.

My friend has one, and when he got it, it was good, nut not any more. This could be because he doesn't look after his stuff, so that would be why it plays like hell nowadays, not that Santana SEs don't last very long.

Played a Cube 30 today and i really loved the cleans and the high gain models were ok too. Didn't get to play a 60. I'm going to have to pay 100 more just to get a line out for gigs. Does anybody have a 60, and could they tell me if they like it?
The Cube 30 can be modded so you can use the headphone/line out without cutting out the power section.
I imagined so, but would it change line out volume with master volume control? If i modded it myself i would probably cook myself.

i'm sure a lot of you guys have heard or downloaded the soloed bonham drum tracks that wound up on the net some months back. i think the original location i got them at is gone but a search will likely lead you to numerous places you can still get them.
i've heard them a few times already and am very very familiar with all the zep stuff. but to hear the drums soloed and to play along with them was possibly the most inspiring musical experience i've ever had. you can hear him grunting and yelling as he plays. i was totally transfixed when listening. it's almost hypnotizing. the sound coming out of my crappy 6 inch desktop speakers was awe-inspiring. truly a thunder of drums.
hopefully this post won't set off a flamewar about the legality, etc of the orginal leaking of these tracks to the world. this post was just about wanting to share a truly incredible musical experience. i'm hoping to have a lot more of them with quot;THE MAN.quot; if you guys want something more than preprogrammed drums to jam along with i suggest you head to google now.

I'm looking to wire neck/bridge pickup in parallel / out-of-phase when both are selected via 3 way toggle switch; since this will be a permanent configuration, I don't see the need for extra switches. None of the schematics in the SD site have this setup. Has anyone done this; and if so, can you share your setup? Thanks.
Its simple. Just use a normal 2-humbucker, 3-way diagram, but reverse the black and green wire of the bridge pup. When both are selected, they'll be in parallel, out-of-phase.

ok so peep this, my friend, user quot;n00bquot; is going with his friend to the factory tour in santa barbara on the 22nd and is picking me up a free pickup. Umm im kinda n00bish with guitars and stuff but i still know what i want...
So yeah i like them both cuz like the screamin demon is ultra hot sounding much like the ultra hot series from my epiphone but can also sound hecka sick to my taste when distorted...
But see the custom custom sounds really warm and that i also like... unno Van Halen type thing?

I’m looking for a good floor mounted power conditioner for my gear. I’ve looked at the Furman Power Factor Pro and the Monster Pro 1000 clean power. The Furman is about $200 and didn’t get a very good review on HC. The Monster is cheaper but I’m not really into buying Monster products. Anyone have any experience with these or other floor mounted power strips that have surge protection and good noise reduction?
