I'm thinking about buying a LP clone that the previous owner put 2 DiMarzio Freds in. Does anybody have any experience with these pickups? What Duncan models do they compare to?

Hey all, was wondering if you could point me into the right direction. I have an Ibanez Rg570 with the V7 and V8 pickups in. I installed a hotrail a while ago in the middle position also. I just got me Seymour JB and Jazz and i have installed them. They dont seem as loud as the V7 and V8 pickups and i was wondering if i had done something wrong. Now before i took the V7 and V8 out the rail was the same level as them. Now the rail seems quite a bit louder than the Jb and Jazz. They dont sit low in the pickup surrounds and I cant work it out. when I play the guitar clean the pickups seem very quiet and when I hit the Overdrive they get alot louder. But the rail seems to be loud. Would wiring make big differences to it ?
(By the way, think the rail will be replaced with a cool rails as its not really my style)

I have a shure SM57 all hooked up to my computer and ready to go..it's just right into the sound card....can I record this way? I can't hear the mic through the friggin speakers...

So can somebody help me out? I just got a Fender Classic 60's strat, and was thinking about getting some duncans to go in it. The stock pickups are good and sound basically kuje what I want, so I was thinking SSL-1's, I would like some more umph in the bridge, I dont like the volume difference between the neck and bridge pickups, the bridge needs a bit more output. So could someone also tell me about the SSL-3, amp; SSL-5amp;6? And what exactly is the sound difference between Flat and Staggered pickups?

as the title says i need an BOSS OC-2 octave pedal in perfect working order (no broken pedals please), obviously i rather a clean good looking condition one but no big deal, i'm stepping on it anyway lol.

After I take care of the present task, fitting DiMarzios to my Washburn, this is the next project.
Just got the pickups I bought for my JV Strat Voodoocaster experiment. I picked up a set of Chubtone '67 reverse stagger p'ups. Perfect shape, looks like they were never installed except for the tiny bit of solder on the wire ends.

I've always wondered what guitars the 'long legged Duncans' are for? I forgot the technical name for the ends of the baseplate, but I noticed that there's two different lengths for them. What's the scoop?

I just got this thing tonight I plugged in, didn't even tune up, turned down the mids on my amp a bit and just started messing around.. the first part is with the mic faced away from the speaker lol.. you can probably hear me turning the mic with my foot

. . . So I snagged a little all tube (no PCB) combo amp off of ebay a few weeks ago for about 60$, and have really been enjoying the sounds that I get from it. However, it seems to be pretty old and I was wondering what I should do to make sure that it's in perfect working order . . .
The amp is a Canadian made Thorcraft Mustang . . . from what I gather it is about 40 years old and has a whole bunch of tubes in it that I don't recognize . . . There is one 12AX7, two 6AV6 tubes, and one 6BQ5 can anyone give me any information about these tubes? Do they still make them?

I'm looking for a black knob from a San Dimas Charvel, either NOS or used. Does anyone have one or know where to look?
