How do y'all feel about these? I just recorded a comparison between this and a new Gib standard SG and there wasn't a noticable difference at all. I can flip between the two and can't tell at all. I'm kinda wondering more about construction. Thanks y'all

I have a few piezo questions... I am trying to pickout an acoustic guitar and knowning a little more about piezos I think will help me.

I`m downsizing my amp and cabinet due to family issues and the fact that I just sit in the house and play. I`m looking for a small combo amp that has decent cleans and also takes Distortion/OD pedals for some hard rock grind and also some gritty blues. Some amps that come to mind are the Fender Blues Jr. , Traynor YCV20WR , Peavey Classic 30. I know the Traynor comes with a Greenback and I`ve seen the other two used with Celestions. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I want a basic telecaster sound, doesnt have to be too great, just descent. Whats a good (for the price) telecaster bridge pickup? thanks

Is Alder at all similar to Maple or Ash? They're all brighter (sounding) tonewoods, right? What are the similarities and differences between them? Are they at all similar tonewise? Any help is greatly appreciated.

While looking through a Stewmac catalog today, I noticed the Benedetto pickups. I was wondering if anybody has info on them.

I was wondering about this... I very often (too often? :P) ask about which guitar has the best build quality... For stuff like wood and finish and lutherie it may seem obvious that it is subjective but deep inside, is it? It all comes down to the way the guitar plays and how it sounds, which IS an objective thing.
If you can't play the guitar before buying it, is there any way of knowing which out a particular list would be better, not just based on paper but on lutherie and wood quality?

Well, i came home from sEattle with the Goldtop LP and lo and behold, on my front door step were the set of Antiquity P90s I ordered. Just the ticket for a nice evening of playing guitar tech.

Don't laugh, but on LP switches, one says rhythm, the other says treble. Which is bridge/neck? I've been using rhythm for most of everything...is that my invader? (yes...I didnt install the pups myself.)

I just bought an amp that was supposed to have a Celestion Vintage 30 in it but the speaker says -Marshall G12 Vintage by Celestion - on it . is this really a Vintage 30? or is it an altered design for Marshall like I've been told elswhere?

I have a couple of pickups in my Tele that are microphonic. What causes it? Will repotting the pickups cure the problem?

I was wondering, since i have researched this alot over the past few years.....I'm from the UK, and SG's cost ALOT of money...But in America, because of the currency...they are alot cheaper, by about £200 at least. Does anyone know where i can buy one from???? Alot of sites don't seem to ship to the UK....Thank you
