I am trying to print my column headings (the contents of row 1) on each page,
but Excel is not having it. I have the pane frozen, so that row 1 is always
visible on the screen when I scroll. In the past, this has also given me the
column headings on printouts, but not this time. quot;Helpquot; tells me to use the
quot;Rows to repeat...quot; setting in quot;Sheetquot; under print setup. However, the option
is greyed out. What am I doing wrong?

Don't go through the print preview dialog.

Go through File|page setup|sheet tab.
