I took some work home and worked on an excel file ( an older version of
excel) and when I saved the file at home the characters :1 were added to the
extension. Can I get rid of them?
The :x indicates that the workbook has more than one window open
(Window/New Window). Close the windows until only one remains.

Thanks, I didn't realize I had hidden a workbook.
