Hi, my brother has a small Zoom brand 35watt amp and he wants to connect a speaker to it as a monitor. The only output jack is the headphone jack socket. If he plugs headphones in, it sounds great, but if he plugs a speaker into the headphone socket, it comes through muddy.
What would be the best option? wire a socket to the main speaker and maybe a switch to cut the main speaker? Or is there a way he can have the main speaker and a monitor speaker?
Any suggestions appreciated.
I don't think your ZOOM probably has enough juice to power a larger speaker. That's my guess anyway for the muddy sound. I think I'd just recommend buying an amp.
The Zoom is an amp. Although low wattage 35watts. What he mainly wants is to be able to maybe connect a socket to use an external speaker as a foldover.
