I bought a Full Shred on Ebay for $11 because I've always wanted to try one. It arrived about a week ago and I finally had time to play with it today. One of the mounting ears was striped out so I proceded to change the base with one from a dead pup (I had to drill all the holes in the bottom... eck...)
I replaced the lead on it with a new one while I was at it. (It only had about an inch when it arrived, no wonder I got it for $11!)

So an hour of repair later, I get it installed in my Strat and I was sonicly blown away. This is one of the tones I've been searching for for AGES! Solid, thick and smooth with just the right amount of grit. It's kinda right between a Super Distortion and a Dirty Fingers.

If any of you haven't tried the Full Shred, do yourself a favour and try one! I dare say it'll make you think twice about your JB!

Again, WOW!!

you got it for the bridge position? im debating between the full shred and a pearly gates for the neck position. its two diff sounds but im not sure which one i really want. i think i might go with the full shred.

yeah, it's an SH-10B.

yeah that must sound killer. i edited my last post i thought noone would see it haha. post some clips of it. was it difficult to add the lead? i think im gonna do that to the hotrails p'up i have, the lead broke off.

I'm looking at the HR out of a Jackson SL-3, and I don't want to peel the tape off this one because it's not mine, but it shouldn't be too hard. PM me your e-mail address and I'll send you a clip of the Full shred and the Super Distortion, then you can hear both of them...
