Hey guys, well here's the story. I have my eyes on a Tom Anderson, it has a nut width of 1 11/16, Im used to played a GandL kneck that is 1 5/8. If I but the Anderson from the local shop, theyre giving me 100bucks free accessories, and some financing options, so that would be super ideal, however my question is, will my hands adapt to the 1 11/16's kneck? It feels comfortable in terms of thickness, but is just a hair to wide. Is that because im used to a thinner kneck and just need time to adapt to a slightly thicker kneck???

Please Chime In guys

Ty

well, think about it this way
convert 5/8 into 16ths
5/8's=10/16
11/16-10/16=1/16
you may notice a slight difference, but it should be no problem to get used to. Most of my guitars have a slight difference, and I have no problem putting one down, and grabbing another.

You'll notice a difference, but I found it was no trouble to adjust.

Hmmm, thanks for the input guys, thats great.

Ty

You will definitely notice a difference. I'm partial to 1-3/4quot; which is only 1mm wider, but it feels totally different. You should have no problem tho, provided the profile radius is comfortable for you.
