I'm getting radio station broadcasts through my amp when the pedal is activated and the volume is turn up

Anyone know why? Would True Bypass help this situation?

Thanks in advance for any info!

Matt

lol that's funny, i had a similar problem with mine. it only happened once though and for a short time. i asked stratdeluxer about it and he said it may be a switch on its way out. mine hasn't done it again though thankfully. if it does i'll try replacing the switch and go from there. does yours do it all the time?

Yeah, pretty much all the time, Mike. I was actually hoping it was a true bypass issue. I'm looking at getting a true bypass box for the non TB pedals I have. Damn! The thing is only a month or 2 old!

yeah, mine isn't that old either and i love the sounds it produces but that is a bit of a PITA if it does it all the time. mine was just a random one time thing a while back. i hope it doesn't start it all the time.

if it happens when the pedal is on, then true bypass won't fix it...I would worry about it...maybe you could move around and pickup a good station!

This may sound odd but a simple quick fix maybe to use a computer power bar with RF filters in it... Plug all your amp and any fx adapters that you may or may not use in your set up.... My Peavey Classic 50 head picks up radio stations like crazy! I plug it into that power bar with RF Filters and it never happens!

It may help..... You never know...

sand the pedal completely, make sure a ground wire is soldered to the box, and paint it with shielding paint!

You could come up with a quite cool result recording a EVH style massive guitar intro with some radiostation background stuff! Good luck anyways on getting it fixed.

I've had mine for 7 months and I've never had any kind of problem, either with interference or excess noise...hmmm.
