Am I the only one having trouble accessing their website?
I've never had any trouble accessing the site, but once I get there, their menu's and pop-ups seldom work properly.
What browsers/OS are you having trouble with our site on? Do you get error messages, or does the site just not load?
Let us know and we'll get it fixed ASAP!

i get on fine
I'm running OSX 10.3.8 with safari 1.2.4 and my only complaint is that the little buttons for the search filters are windows-ugly (grey squares) and not aqua-beautiful. It's a good site.
Sorry to high-jack this thread but what's up with the Harmony-Central user forums? It's sooooooooo slow and most topics don't even load when I click them. Same **** using the living room PC (firefox and IE).

Hi Brian. Thanks for checking in.
I run IE 6.x, with Win98SE. DSL connection. Its not so much a problem, as a minor annoyance. Here's what I get:In this one, I've moused-over quot;Showcasequot;.
In this one, I've moused-over quot;Pickguardquot;.
Basically, when I mouse-over a menu item, the menu doesn't fill-in. I didn't realize 'til I grabbed these screenshots that the text is there, just not the background, making it hard to see. I can either, wiggle the mouse over the drop-down, or wait several seconds, and it fills in.
Like I said, not a biggy.

Ah, it's probably just that the Javascript that draws the menu is rendering slow/buggy on your machine. The menu is really, really big - all of it loads even when it's not all displayed, if that makes sense. It's a little taxing on older machines, even when you have a fast connection. It's not as flashy, but the quot;low bandwidthquot; version should load and run much faster for you, as it simply doesn't load the dropdown menu. We designed the site so it's still quite navigable without it.

Can you give me an example of another site that renders form buttons aqua-beautiful for you? I'll bet I could do an easy fix for that.

My 'puter is a 2 Ghz P4, so its not that old.
Also, I run the latest Sun Microsytems java, not the buggy MS version.
But like I said, its not biggy. Your site is still one of my favorites to browse.
Hi Brian,
I just now noticed your post.
The error message I get is:
quot;Error Occurred While Processing Requestquot;
I've linked to the page, but I'm not sure if you'll be able to see it:
from : localhost/only way I've been able to get the page to load is by removing the but I still have problems navigating the site.
I'm running, the unholy mess that is, Windows ME. Thanks again Bill Gates! My browser is Netscape 7.2
Let me know if there is any other info that will be of help,
Steve
Or I guess I could just post the error message:
Error Occurred While Processing Request
The system has attempted to use an undefined value, which usually indicates a programming error, either in your code or some system code.
Null Pointers are another name for undefined values.
Please try the following:
* Enable Robust Exception Information to provide greater detail about the source of errors. In the Administrator, click Debugging amp; Logging gt; Debugging Settings, and select the Robust Exception Information option. * Check the ColdFusion documentation to verify that you are using the correct syntax. * Search the Knowledge Base to find a solution to your problem.

Why doesn't Warmoth's site have online ordering? Always wondered about that.
yeah i wish they had online ordering...i would have ordered tons from them in the middle of the night when that urge hits...instead i just keep putting it off or get it somwhere else. i don't know why they don't do it, it's not hard at all to set up and manage and i'm sure sales would increase a bit due to spontanious quot;add to shopping cartquot; orders in the middle of the night or days and times they are closed. as far as custom orders go that can easily be done online too with check boxes of the options available for the particular product. granted custom paint orders may have to be called in to explain what you want but if your ordering an alder strat body, top routed for SSS with a hardtail trem in candy red...that could be done easily through an online system that tallys the costs and gives you a final price. this would also cut down on phone calls and e-mails they get with people just wondering how much X with X options would cost since they could just click the boxes for the options they want and see the end total and decide from there if they want it or want to make changes to alter the price. sorry to go off subject a bit and rant but i do web and graphic design and i just see an opritunity for increased sales that they are missing out on for sure since alot of people just like to order things online 1-2-3 at odd times and skip the long distance phone call.

-Mike100% on the money! If your in business you should make it as absolutely, positively easy as possible for people to give you their money. I just placed an order that I would have done much earlier if there was online ordering. Must be a reason they don't do it. Maybe the Warmoth guy will chime in.
yeah i've been putting off a decent size order also...maybe i'll call it in today lol.

We're with you 100%! We're working hard on making this happen as we speak.
Part of the reason we haven't done this yet is the complexity of our custom-ordering process. Sure, quot;standardquot; stuff would be easy to SKU and put in an e-store, but so much of our business is relatively bizarre custom stuff that we don't think it would be much use unless we did it all the way, which is our plan.
We have to make the computer as smart as our salespeople so we don't spend all day calling people back who've placed online orders and say, quot; No, you can't get 8 pickup routs on that bodyquot; quot; No, it can't be both a trem and a hardtail.quot; quot; Are you really sure you want that solid rosewood body dyed purple?quot; etc....
Suffice to say we're going to take the time and care necessary to make sure that when we offer online ordering it will be quick, easy, and accurate.
i take it by the quot;wequot; that you work for warmoth...well welcome to the forums, nice to have you here and i'm glad you'll be doing online ordering soon!! as for me i need to call in an order in a few minutes that has been put off for too long lol. thanks for letting us know about the future site update and i'm sure it will help sales a bunch!!

I bet you guys could tell some stories . . .

Sorry - I mentioned that earlier in this thread but forgot to sign my other posts that way. I just added it to my signature; that'll be easier!

Well, part of the fun of building a custom guitar or hot-rodding your guitar is quot;pushing the envelopequot;. We do spend a surprising amount of time talking people out of things that either won't work or won't come out looking/playing/sounding like the customer wants it to.
That's why we try to put smart (and nice) guys on the phone.
whoops i'm having one of quot;those daysquot; lol and didn't notice you signed it in your first post...sorry about that. again, glad to have you here, hope you stick around...you'd be amazed at how many times warmoth questions come up here!

Wow this is so embarrassing! I really thought the Hardtail/Tremolo, eight pickup, purple dyed rosewood body guitar would be great. Oh well.
Thank god Brian talked me out of it.
Now just wait 'til you hear my next big idea.
