never bought one thoughebay link

that thing screams SEAFOAMER METAL EDITION!!

When Charvel went with the balloon logo, that's when I stopped liking them. They just became Jackson clones. You couldn't tell a Jackson from a Charvel at a distance. I know it was that way when they were stratheads but not many Fenders had a single humbucker back then so those you saw with one humbucker, or two, were most likely a Charvel.

That's pretty crazy.

I came close to buying one of the orange ones that hung up in my local store back home. I just didn't want to fool with replacing the pups, and back then, there were no higher output stacked buckers like we have today..so it just would have been a quot;stratquot; to me.

I think it does a really elegant job of bridging the gap between the classic and the modern quot;stratquot; aesthetically. It's as much deviation as I like from quot;classicquot; at any rate.

Reminds me of my Squire 51.

Because of the ugly pickguard. Which I'm fairly close to replacing with a custom design on mine

slade

it's the charvel 'clone' of the jeff beck soloist

i frickin hate that pickguard

I told you the '51 would look badass with a Jackson headstock.

I like those Jacksons! I would like to pick one up just because Beck had one during the Flash tour and Guitar Shop recording....

WhoFan

That thing is hideous.

it kinda reminds me of the signature sting fender bass.

It looks like someone hacked up a 51' , added a FR and a jackson neck

Kramer made a few guitars that had a pickguard like that as well! I remember seeing The Rolling Stones having a few of them out on the Steel Wheels tour.... Saw Ron Wood and Mick Jagger use them from time to time... Jagger i think just liked to hold a guitar and try and look like he is playing it...
