So are Seth Lovers THE best PUs for a warm blues/jazzy tone that will still get nasty. I have only heard them in a hollow body guitar and was awesome.

I suspect they are also equally awesome in a solid body...? Is that correct

Is there a better SD HB for great clean tone AND great nasty tone OK I ain't a loney female but ya'll aren't answering my questions

I suspect because of your trickery you are receiving no replies

So, suffer you must
I can't say that its the best pickup because I haven't tried them all, but the Seth will do everything you say IMHO. I have a Seth in my Flying V and it is the best thing that ever happened to that guitar.

seths are wonderful ... but from my 1st hand experience, i think 59s are very good for getting a bit nastier while still getting a very nice jazzy/bluesy tone

good luck

Seth Lovers do that perfectly. They are wonderfully responsive. Smooth and mellow, but really sting when you crank it up and hit them hard.

There is possibly a better option - Antiquity humbuckers. I just got a set last week. They are very much like Seths but possibly have a little more midrange punch.

Seths are awesome for blues/jazzy through to classic 70s rock.

Did I get your phone number yet?

Hey Mannish, don't sweat it, if no one answers your post just bump it till some folks do.

That said here is a pup breakdown for you to look at. from : localhost//forum/s...ighlight=alouu

Welcome to the forum.

I have listened to the sounds off the spec page but THEIR dirty and MY dirty is different. I like a touch of drive but all the sounds have way too much drive for me to tell much

Looking at P90s for another guitar leaning heavy toward kent Armstrongs

A few guys in here use a vintage p90 n and a custom p90 neck (for the bridge) to good end.

My Godin has a set of P90 customs. They sound great from small amounts of OD to heavy dist.

Luke

lollar makes a good p90 if you dont want a duncan for some reason

i have a seth paired with a phat cat (p90 in a bucker size) and they both sound great. the seth is nice and fat and warm with a nice top end that is very sweet. the phat cat has more bite and snap

yes heard about Lollars - My guitars are teles (a custom amp; a thinline) with the Fender widerange PUs I was thinking of SLs for one of those. The other is a Strat I am putting together I was thinking 2 P90s in it. Selling one of the Teles.

I figure with one with SLs (or SL 59) amp; the other with P90s will kepp me happy for a week or so

The custom has a Lil 59 in the bridge - I could put a SL in the neck maybe.

That Lil 59 gets NASTEE
