Okay guys and gals; I'm jones'n for this Fender Showmaster they got on sale at M-F and it comes in two colors - ebony ( from : localhost/) and Atlantic Metallic Blue ( from : localhost/).
I've got two guitars, a Strat and a Gibson LP, that are black....and it'd be cool to have an all-black axe like that, but I also like the metallic blue (favorite color=blue) and the way the black hardware goes with it.
I'm leaning toward the blue, but was wondering what you all thought?

I personally like the black one more, but it seems like you're all about the blue, so you better follow your guy instinct on the blue one.

I would mix it up a little.

Go for the blue.

I hate guitars that are entirely black. Looks too quot;amateurquot; to me. But anyway, the blue looks cool.

I almost bought the black one though....yesterday...and thought giving it a day would help me decide better, but it didn't....lol. The black is cool 'cause it's all black 'cept for the Fender logo on the headstock. But I was also thinking that as long as I can get an actual color finish out of what appears to be a closeout of the guitar at M-F, I might as well go for the blue.

I see in just the time it took me to write that last one that the majority likes the blue, and I tend to agree. It's what's currently in my quot;shopping cart,quot; ready to buy.

atlantic blue it is! After it arrives and I get it plugged into a couple of amps I'll post a review on it. It seemed like a pretty good deal (too good?) to jump on. We'll see....

Yeah, I'd have to agree with that : I know a death metal drummer who has a black Jackson and a black Epiphone explorer. Not that he can really play them, he's a drummer. The bassist has a black P-Bass too...

Agreed....I like contrast on a guitar...

That said I'd pick the blue, though from the pic, that still is not a really nice blue like they use on the AM std. Strats (Chrome Blue)

I quite like the all black look. Seeing blue is your favourite colour though, get the blue one for sure.

someone on here bought one for 350 but MF has it for 299... maybe he was including shipping... but i dunno

Make sure you call them cause they go $50 off all fender deal through their mailing list right now. So it just costs $249.99 after the savings.

it appears that MF only has black now but the tele still has both colors

just a quick follow-up to the $50 off issue....I just got off the phone with a rep. at M-F and inquired about the discount, and he wasn't aware of anything like that.
So.....not sure on that one. But it didn't hurt to ask.

for me, all blue isn't a nice colour unless its quilted or flamed.

Black with some whites is cool don't you think ? =)
