Hey! i wanna know what pickups u think would be good for and Epiphone Dot if i wanna play pop-punk stuff like Green Day, Sugarcult, BLink, Rancid, Sum 41, etc.
Billie Joe has a JB in his blue strat, Tom Delonge used an Invader in his sig. strat and a Gibson quot;Dirty Fingersquot; in his new gibson, I think Tim and Lars use stock pickups in their Les Paul/ES335's, Dave of Sum 41 uses stock Gibson/PRS pickups... so....
I actually think a C5/59 combo wouldn't be a bad choice, an Invader or Distortion might be a touch hot for an ES335 style guitar. What amp are you playing though?
another vote for the JB
I am a EMG man but the JB will do those tones with ease!
You'll want something with some spoink.
59 neck
C5, or JB bridge, as has been said.
That should do it, but if it's a little bright look into an
Seth, or A2P for the neck
Custom Custom bridge

yeah the C5 is another pup that has a good output and will do many styles like the JB
the JB just has more quot;richnessquot; to it i guess
you dont need a neck p'up for that music. take it out, sell it, and draw a big yellow smiley face in the pickup routing hole. then go and buy c5 or jb.
hey...thanks...im using a Behringer 100 watt amp. so...what I´m making out of all of this...probably a JB Bridge and a Seth for neck...sound good... mm...could any1 pleeeaasseee post the links for this pickups in the SD site cause i´m having some trouble finding them... hehe thanx!
BTW...i know Billie (green day) did use JBs BUT since the Insomniac album he started using a Gibson LP Special II and a Junior with stock pickups and since Warning billie doesnt really play much guitar (at least live) cause another guy called jason white plays for him...but yeah....JBs
