from : localhost/need an amp with decent power and a decent price (I have a cab). I have all the effects I want in pedal form and the ability to transport without killing my back is a major plus.

All the reviews I've read are good and I tried it at the local store and thought was pretty decent for an SS amp. One guy on another forum who I can somewhat trust says to stay away from it and all Crates (although I own a 30 watt combo that I'm satisfied with) in general and claims to have tried it.

So, I want your guy's opinions, only if you've tried and\or owned one, no BS being carried on from what you've heard.

For someone who doesn't need FX or anything built into an amp and just needs a good amp (that means cleans, too), is this really worth the $200 they're charging? I have to wait until Friday until the store gets more in anyways, so let me know!

I tried one at GC the other day, and got decent AC/DC type tones out of it without much effort. I only played it for about 1/2 hour. I may get one to try with my L6 guitar port or pod. I have to say it is one of the better 200 dollar amps I have tried.

i thought it sounded very good at the NAMM show, granted the guy was using a very expensive PRS, but either way, i was very surprised at how great it sounded.....lush clean, even overdrive, good response

I think it'd be a smarter purchase to find a used Vox Valvetronix head for $350-$400.

For a bit more money, you'd have something that's almost equal to a Vetta! 10 times the amp that any SS Crate is.
