Right, so I want to replace the bridge humbucker in my fat strat. I don't need tons of distortion, not into metal or anything. I'm looking for something balanced, with good mids and cleans and good distortion, any suggestions? Also, is pole spacing going to become and issue with a fender? any help is appreciated.
I'd go with a JB. They make them for Strats, too!
I actually like the CC best in the bridge of a Strat. I have one in my double fat strat, and it's not going anywhere. Just the right amount of bass and mids to warm up a strat, and the highs are not piercing. It cleans up very nicely, and can take as much gain as you want to throw at it.
I'd order a tremspaced model if your going to order new. If you pick one up on eBay or used here, a standard spaced model will sound and perform just fine.
I highly recommened the CC in the bridge of a Strat.
