ok ... lookin for a high output rbidge humbucker for my rhoads. so i was lookin at a SD dimebucker or the Dimarzio X2N. also , was lookin at a Dimebucker/59 setup or the x2n/humbuckerfromhell/PAF combo. anybody have any basic info on these combos, how they sound ect. my guitar is made of adler with a flame maple top.
Some like the Dime but, I think it sounds like a mix between a pissed off weedeater and a buzzsaw! Personally, I think the X2N is much more agreeable IMO!!!! It has tons of output and I didnt find any one part of the EQ to be boosted. I would say its balanced and its like everything is boosted!!!
the X2N is definately more versitial.
Every time somebody brings up the X2N i wish I had one. Thanks a lot GUYS.
But yeah, i've never heard a Dimebucker sound good. You have to have MIDS in your sound or your sound will be mushy crap, kinda like Dimebag's.

I went through a short phase of really digging the dimebucker, but came around pretty quick. I also prefer the X2N, but it's not my favorite, either.
Sounds like I will cross the dime off my list.

lol thanks for the input , looks like it will be the x2n for the bridge, but any suggestions for a good match up for the neck. maybe something a little cooler with nice clean sound?

You forgot quot;angry sludge monsterquot; in that mix

Well, if you're gonna keep with DiMarzio, then an Air Norton would really open up different tones in the neck. Otherwise, a PAF Pro might be good.
